This was a good series, until De Botton starts giving Christianity undue credit for stating that goodness is unrelated to status. This is not a Christian idea at all, and I think De Botton dropped the ball hugely on this one. Alas, this is what you get after centuries of Christian indoctrination. It will still take quite a while before we are finally able to shake off the influence of that nefarious religion for good.
