Nice work, but how about teaching your colleague in the background how to use a file correctly?
If i'd have made a file screech, squeal and shriek at school the metalwork teacher would have hit me with it...and rightly so bloody disgraceful sound:(((
@lariwoo In a productive workshop sometimes a job has to be done quickly and therefore the tools are not all the time used exactly to the rule book. ...and it was a hacksaw.
@disgustapated This is a simple self made tool to start the edge by bending the sheet to approximately 45 degrees. Take a small steel bar stock and slit with a saw, cutting wheel or similar tool to produce a slot with the sheet's thickness. Round the edges to prevent leaving marks.
@Axbent This is just the way I have learned it from my friend 'the Tinman' Kent White in California. It's fast, efficient and delivers nice results. Thank you for the compliments!
@expertwelding Thank you for your nice words. The rivets are aircraft grade aluminum rivets. They just look like brass because of the zinc chromate primer.
Simplemente ¡alucinante!
