Wow this video is crazy. AA means that if two people are EQUALLY qualified the minority gets the leg up. Considering racial segregation only ended in 1954 and they only got the right to vote in 1965 (and still now face challenges) doesn't that make a little sense. If your more qualified than the other person you'll get the job, AA barely even exist anymore.
We have "affirmative action" here in Canada, but not to blacks, just towards Native Indians. It does not work, they are as poor and useless as ever and mostly just sit around waiting for their handouts and blaming all their problems on white people and colonialism.

Affirmative Action was necessary at the time that it was created but this is no longer true. It will only serve to be a further source of discrimination in the future if we don't repeal it now. This is especially since there will no longer be a single majority in the near future.

Affirmative action was put into the 1964 Civil Rights Act to benefit historically underrepresented peoples (minorities), yes. But it has been most beneficial to white women. Look it up. Affirmative action based on race is inherently racist. It assumes that some races need a helping hand and can't succeed on their own merit. If one really wants to promote diversity and assistance for the disadvantaged, it should be based on socio-economic status, not race. That would still naturally favor minorities without making it based on racism.

But a disproportionate amount of white people compared to black (for example) are wealthy due to black people only being given equal rights 47 years ago. Is AA the right method to restore balance? Affirmative Action was necessary at the time that it was created but this is no longer true. It will only serve to be a further source of discrimination in the future if we don't repeal it now. This is especially since there will no longer be a single majority in the near future.

Affirmative action was put into the 1964 Civil Rights Act to benefit historically underrepresented peoples (minorities), yes. But it has been most beneficial to white women. Look it up. If one really wants to promote diversity and assistance for the disadvantaged, it should be based on socio-economic status, not race. That would still naturally favor minorities without making it based on racism.

But a disproportionate amount of white people compared to black (for example) are wealthy due to black people only being given equal rights 47 years ago. Is AA the right method to restore balance? Debateable. I'd rather improve the education they receive growing up; but AA is definitely not evil.

Neither does it negate your new claim that advertisements target women because they do. It's a fact that basic consumer products are home products and women, still traditionally, are homemakers. Electronics:
The majority consumer demographics of computers, small consumer electronics, televisions, and game consoles and attachments are men. Men spent an average of $701 per year each on electronics. Women spend $536.
Cars:
The LA Time reported that not only did men buy more cars than women, they usually bought less energy efficient models, and therefore spend more on gas.
Homes:
Women buy more on this.

As far as unemployment numbers go they do not count them into the percentage because full time students and retired people do not qualify for benefits anyway. African Americans aren't considered human or citizens by republican politicians. Centuries of overt racism has made it impossible for the white conservative social consciousness to perceive blacks in human terms. Often they speak of blacks as if we're little more than savages. And while they love speaking on black shortcomings they refuse to equally acknowledge their own. Blacks in America make up 12% of the country and racist republicans can't stand even a few going to college.

Affirmative action exist because there is so much discrimination in this nation. Discrimination is the norm in this nation. This video intentionally misrepresents what affirmative action is. It requires that all people hired must meet all qualifications. In reality people cant stand that they lost their job to a woman, black, or latino because affirative action is almost never enforced.

Like I said before, American blacks need to stop listening to guys like Sharpton and Jackson. These guys are your new slave owners. They have a vested interest to keep you down because the need to line their pockets. Wake up folks. I do work with quite a few West Indian blacks and Africans and they are well mannered, have a positive attitude and great work ethic because they came from humble beginnings.
