I don't actually see any evidence of her being a good actor. What I see, especially early in the series, is an actor in over her head, trying to convey some subtleties of a rather unlikeable, awkward, annoying character and failing to bring that character to any life. She has two facial expressions -- stupid and whiny :) This is particularly obvious when she's in scenes with other, better, actors, like Hall.

sometimes I think she is cute, and sometimes I think she is annoying as hell...but either way I still enjoy watching her because this is the best freakin show ever.

I'm watching season one on DVD and I fast forward through all the scenes with Deb in them. The actor playing her is the whiniest, most dreadful actor I've ever seen. Shame, really.

I don't actually see any evidence of her being a good actor. What I see, especially early in the series, is an actor in over her head, trying to convey some subtleties of a rather unlikeable, awkward, annoying character and failing to bring that character to any life. She has two facial expressions -- stupid and whiny :) This is particularly obvious when she's in scenes with other, better, actors, like Hall.
Saw her in Watchmen -- saw no evidence of fine acting there, either.

She's probably a raging liberal/socialist as well -- most emotionalists are. Too bad she's not with super-duper-rockstar-agent Lundy any longer -- he'd be a better influence than the hippie singer. ;-)
