  • Mine eats watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples, pears, peachs and figs. He loves his veggies and raw nuts too.

  • YES!! My rottie eats the same way hahaha :D

  • He's savoring it.

  • now thats a dog vegans would approve.

  • I don't know ANY dog that will eat fruit or vegetables of any kind

  • Rottweiler breed is so smart. Mines as a puppy would lift his leg and urinate on food to show me that he didn't like the ingredients. And food that he liked he would do a back circle 3 times in a row and raise his paws.

  • Mine loves all veggies and fruit, favorites are blueberries, baby carrots, clementines, apples to name a few! He delicately eats from spoons, forks, and chopsticks, taking dainty little bites and never allowing his teeth to scrape. He has very genteel manners, and one of my friends called him "demure." He will NOT allow himself to drool even a drop. If he's panting he catches drool before it drops anywhere. Weird, lovable, and wonderful.

  • ahahah awhhh, he got a seed on his nose!

  • gorgeous dog :)

  • MINE EATS TOMATOES AND CUCUMBER LOL

  • @dchavez01 hahah they love it :)

  • My rotty would eat apples around the core with her paws on either side

  • @ThaliaIV that is adorable ;)

  • thats awesome! i though i was alone, mine eats carrots with me, she loves it

  • MY ROTTIE DOES THISS SHE LOVES THE WATERMELON SO MUCH <3

  • beautiful dog and hes so intelligent and well trained! you said little bites and thats exactly what he did. Also noticed when the watermelon got close to your hand, he wouldnt take a bite! what a sweetie!

  • I miss my rotty so much :( He passed away last year in August. He looked just like yours, and acted the same way to food lol I want another one so bad.

  • you really have a bad taste in music. ugghh couldnt watch this for more than 5 secs

  • @babyjsc agreed its terrible hahaa the tube radio in the house.

  • aww. makes me miss my rottie :( my family moved and took her with. we would tell her to "be nice" and she would slowly eat food right off a fork, just like a human.

  • that is the sweetiest thing!!!

  • beautiful rot

  • haha. stops perfectly. dog: eww rind. new piece now! :D

  • my beagle does the same thing. she LOVES watermelon!

  • i had no idea rotties could eat and successfully digest watermelon. That's interesting

  • Does he spit the seeds out too?

  • wow my dog TRIES to eat the rind

  • both of mine love watermelon

  • He's so handsome!

  • Mine

  • Awwww - I ♥ Rotties

  • my rottie loves all fruit and veg she goes nuts when i have any until she gets sum :0)

  • now i want watermelon -.-

  • Yeah, cute. Try the "little bites" with a steak - LOL. Watermelon is yummy for the sugar for a dog and not so yummy for the citrus, etc. But the fact that you are sharing and the sugar is why he is eating it.

  • @dbdesign2008 Ok here you go! that is how he was raised - properly He is very gentle and eats like that no matter the what the food is... See his steak video 'Rottweiler delicately eats steak" or "How to train a Wonderful Rottweiler - FIGHT BSL" or "Hand in Rottweilers bowl. Help your dog with food aggression" or "Rottweiler treats on feet" or "Rottweiler tells me to "Take this bone and shove it!!"

  • This is probably going to start a fight but I cant help but say this...... You listen to horrible music. Poor Rottie

  • @quinnzite agreed the song is horrible hahaha... It was on the radio i think.. not our music ;)

  • @choppergirlJune i dont see anything wrong with the music, lol

  • What a gorgeous dog you have

  • me n my rott were so close, i would put pieces of steak in my mouth and he would gently grab it out with just his front teeth...and everyone knows how rotts like meat

  • @fps110 so cute!! Oz does the same.. so gentle..

  • I NEVER seen a dog eat fruit!

  • my Chihuahua likes this but she only take a small bite or two then goes off to play or something

  • @superbaron you have a beautiful rott.. i love my rottie haha, im trying to teach him to eat with a spoon (with me holding it of course).. but yeah great looking dog

  • AHAHAHAH i love rotweiller

  • He is a beautiful rottie. Really full build and a calm temperament. Awesome dog.

  • @ZABBU19 thank you :) i am very lucky!!

  • Let me be the first:

    OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM.....

  • Mine eats like this, but I have to make him calm down first. Food gets him way too excited. Beautiful dog! I love my Rottweiler!

  • Lovely dog, absolutely gorgeous. Reminds me of the Rottie I had when I was younger, Gretchen.

  • He's a really good lookin' Rottie. I wish everyone could see rotties like this to know that they're hardly the vicious, aggressive dogs that people make them out to be. I've had 2 rotties and both have been wonderful companions. Thanks for sharing the videos. :)

  • @superbaron1 thank you :) they are the best dogs in the world!!! Do you have vids of your rotties?

  • @choppergirlJune Yeah, my Rottie is named Max and he has a buddy named Marley. They spend a LOT of time together just running and playing. It's a huge joy for me to watch them as they chase, wrestle and just have fun with one another. It's unfortunate that everyone doesn't have the opportunity to just watch dogs be dogs. It's one of those things that makes you feel good about the world around you. Even with all of the crazy things going on in the world, they always find a way to make you smile.

  • @choppergirlJune Most dogs love Watermelon it's like taty water

  • I've just been waiting for him to "shoot" the seeds out pew pew pew pew

  • Vegetarian Buddhist dog.

  • my jack russell terrier mixed eats like that

  • oh I will try it on mine see if he enjoys it.

  • I had one that ate like that, Whisky(Damn my father for naming her that), she was always full of life. until her final days she played like she always would. Then the arthritis became too much for her and she collapsed she didnt move for an entire week, eventually we took her to the vet to be euthanised. I hope that was the best choice.

  • He is beautiful!

  • My Dutch Kooikerhondje eats exactly the same way. And she even like lemons!

  • what a cutey! <3

  • Cute!!

  • mine use to eat pears and strawberries:)

  • that what happens when a dog learns how to eat from a hunman

  • too cute. My Rotties eat mangos ... including the seed. Rotts are the bestest dogs!

  • mine use to do this all the time

  • Watermelooooooon YUM!!!

  • I have a rottweiler too and she loooves watermelon just like your's...

    Her name is Jackey, btw.

  • Mine also eats absolutely everything !! But now he is 11 yrs old

  • how old is he?

  • @air23mj23 7.5 years young

  • Kind of reminds me about my old fella, still miss her :|

Used to eat melons just like that too

  • The video of my 10 month old rottie is " my rottweiler playing with banner2"

  • Yes, just type in "rottweiler with bone cancer." His name is Cobra. He also had hypothyroidism, and he started gaining weight, towards the end. All the diets we tried him on would'nt help. When he died he weighed 167 lbs. Until he got sick his weight was around 120lbs.

  • I'm sorry to hear about you "ULLA" I know she had a wonderful life by the way your dog loves you.

  • @surrynet thank you,, my dogs are part of the family :) love them to peices!! Do you have any videos of you dogs?

  • @choppergirlJune yes I have several videos of my Rottie just look under (my rottweiler) it will have by Surrynet

  • Entropion is where the eyelids turn inward, ontropian is where eyelids turn outward. Osteochondrosis is common in rotties and other large breed dogs. It is a diesease of growing cartilage which fails to turn into bone., Not to mention Hip Dysplasia. Our beloved breed has so many things going against them, thats why it's imperitive to have have good sound breeding. Back yard breeders are ruining the breed.

  • @surrynet i'm very sorry to hear this..... it is beyond heartbearking... i lost my last rottie to Osteosarcoma (there is a video of her "rip ulla lost you to cacer".. I did everything i could to help her fight the cancer... i had a holistic and western oncologist and a holistic and western regular vet.. Her quality of life and happiness was most important to me..

and backyard breeders and pet stores make me absolutely SICK!

  • IRottweilers can also have entropian, ontropian, osteosarcoma. I just had my 6 year old rottie put down because of osteosarcoma. The bone cancer destroyed the bone in his front leg. Rotties are the only breed for me. Bty, you have a beatiful dog. My new pup just turned 10 months old.

  • kmb85o, it's called "GASTRIC TORSION", it is mainly caused by eating too much and the stomach can actually twist, if taken to a vet in time the dog can be operated on to fix the problem, but it is very expensive. So you don't have to put him/her down.

  • @surrynet GDV is also known as "bloat," "stomach torsion," or "twisted stomach." Bloat is an extremely serious condition, & should be considered a life-threatening emergency when it occurs. There are no home remedies for bloat, therefore dog owners must contact their veterinarians immediately if they suspect that their dog has bloat. Dogs can die of bloat within several hours. Even with treatment, as many as 25-33% of dogs with GDV die.

  • @surrynet There is also a preventative surgery called Gastropexy surgery for bloat prevention.

  • You might wanna be careful, because my rottie used to break into the fridge and all the cabinets, even after we chained them shut, and rotties are prone to their stomachs turning which usually results in having to put them down.

  • @kmb85o Whoa! that is crazy!! I have had rotties close to my whole life and never experienced this.. Was your rottie getting breakfast in the morning?

  • @choppergirlJune Yeah, my mom is a vet tech so she's always taken really good care of our animals. I guess our rottie just had a bad munchie habit, we COULD NOT keep her out of things. It's just there are a lot of foods dogs can't eat, like grapes, and the all known chocolate. IDK what it is about big dogs, but certain breeds have a problem with their stomachs turning when they eat a lot of things that they shouldn't. I just don't want the same thing to happen to your beautiful dog.

  • haha he's chewing on beat with the song ;]

  • My dog eats just like yoursss :DDDDD

    Love it !

  • @GiRl13MaRiEnSe :))) and thank you!

  • What a beautiful dog. Has a sweet face.

  • @CrustyDrawers thank you!!

  • @choppergirlJune what do you exactly have to do to become an experienced dog owner? i'm planning on getting my first dog later in my life but don't want dogs like labs golden retrievers and toy dogs. I'm more planning on getting a guard dog. Also, i'm not to big on vigorous and mental exercise....like dobermans and german shepherds need that. any suggestions? thanks!:)

  • @choppergirlJune what do you exactly have to do to become an experienced dog owner?????????

  • answer to the video: the cute ones :D

but my qustion is: is watermelon safe for dogs? just wanna know so I don't overfeed mine in the future.

  • @rogantu I know it is for Rotties. But i know that certain breeds can have more sensitive stomachs so i cannot speak for all dogs.. I only give Oz a piece or 2.. never a entire melon ;)

  • we used to give watermelon slices to my ours, she ate everything but the green part. It was cute <3

  • @karips88 hahah love it!! oz is the same way :))

  • my dog bella does that shees small but shees a fox so shee has hella sharp teeth but every dog does this is cool thoe

  • My rottie boy was a great kid but that was amazing. I used to be able to put a piece of ham between my teeth and kneel down and he would take it as gentle as could be. It's amazing how great rotties are with good responsible owners.

RIP Guinness...we love you always and miss you terribly

  • aww. my rotty does that too. with watermelon and corn on the cob. she always gives me the cob like "k i'm done want the rest?" XP

  • Mine did this in the 80"s, even carried the wood that we chopped. My very best friends on Earth! RIP Putput,Darcy & Big Mike!

  • @fablousme they are the BEST!! My last Rottie help with carrying the wood too :)

  • My Lady Rom ate like that. She would take little bites of hamburgers. My Phoenix would put all of it in her mouth at once. She is not a lady.

  • True males eats healthy, veggies and fruits :)

  • i want watermelon now thank you =)

  • Eats exactly like my dog. Its a staffy X pitbull

  • @GoldenFly good boy :)

  • @choppergirlJune don't feed grapes my dog loved all tomatoes grape's watermelon grapes are very bad from what i heard to kidneys

  • @sowhatyoucant2 thank you. Yes grapes are also dangerous because the will easily get lodged in a dogs throat causing them to choke/obstructing their airway.

  • Mine does that to! :)))

  • 1:42 he said "Give me real food, I don't like this crap"

  • my rottie eats from a spoon and eats corn like a person! ill put the video up!

  • Mine one does the same!!! I think he thinks it's more comfortable and probably more "claen"... but it's really funny when he is doing that tooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ahahaha your rotty knows how to stop eating!! Mine can never stop eating at all =S!!

  • my pitador (pitbull lab mix) will eat anything LITARALLY ANYTHING apples cottage cheese bannass lol

  • my pitador (pitbull lab mix) will eat anything LITARALLY ANYTHING appleas cottage cheese bannass lol

  • They are the best, had mine for ten years, before he passes away. Its how u bring them up, these idiots out there training dogs to fight like rotties and pitbulls gives them a bad name. My rocco, biggest puppie out there couldnt sleep outside, couldnt sleep alone. Best dogs.

  • @Kidis82 They are the best!!! Oz is the same need to sleep and be where ever i am :)

    RIP to sweet Rocco

  • @Kidis82 True true. Saw the best bumper sticker today "Stop Dog Fighting: Ignorance Breeds Ignorance" thought it was great!!

  • My Rottie eats like this!!!

  • I'm from a country where there had been cases of badly trained/abused Rotts been known to attack and maul people on the streets. That initially gave me a bad impression of Rotts. But after watching this, I think dogs are just sheer reflections of their owners. People are at fault, not them. Thank you for the lovely video!

  • @whygothic thank you. exactly dogs are a reflection of their owners... no matter what the breed.

  • He has a gorgeous face!

  • My little dog eats all sorts of fruits and veggies...even eats picked eggs...

  • @alh18 that is so good for them!! keep it up!! Try regular boiled or friend egg with olive oil vs the pickled (that may not be so good for her/him)

  • @choppergirlJune Oh...I know..she's so spoiled. Anytime we eat apples she's right there at our feet begging....but she doesn't like bananas, but it's' funny to watch her eat it.

  • @alh18 thats great!! oz doesn't like bananas wither but sometimes i sneak it into the mix :)

  • ohh that is really really cute

  • i know a couple. maybe not quite the same way as oz but very gentle; never bite. i was surprised at first because so many dogs like to grab.

  • @movitmovit he is super gentle and a lovebug!!

  • @thepinkfishy mine too ;) he just finished eating some baby broccoli... Its on the top of his list ;) haha

    What a cutie he is.

  • @dorkbuttz YAY!! So good for your dogs :))) Oz loves carrots but not bananas... and no idea who the music is in the background hahaha... on the radio.

  • My dogs loves bananas!! nice hi5!

  • @morenogro so good for him :) I wish Oz liked them...

  • my rotty never eats like this.....this is really a cute one

  • My Tia was like that too. Very gentle when eating from the hand. She was really fussy about being clean. She used to keep her nose out of her bowl and use her bottom jaw to scoop up the food so she wouldnt get her nose messy. I miss her.

  • what do you do to him if he takes a big bite?

  • @mushufreak

    He is trained not to

  • yea mine eats everything, so is my jack russel

  • my dog like eating coconut core . he make ugly faces like he chewing gum .

  • @osmiu lol i know that face ;) oz does the same thing...

  • Mine liked carrots, the bigger the better and it's a good thing, because she had a tendency to put on weight and the carrots let her snack without getting fat.

  • What a lovely big dude! My friends have a rotti called Hera, she is a gorgeously well behaved girl...my fave breed for sure. Well done on raising such a beauty!

  • @abiblueplanes thank you very much :) They are a truly spectacular breed! i would have no other :)
