Had this taken place in Sweden the gunman would have gotten something like 6-10 years (2-3 years if 15-17, 0 if younger), reduced by 1/3 had he behaved while imprisoned. He would done his time in what looks like a bedroom (no cell) with a locked window, a TV, a phone, a computer and of course, visits by family, friends and girlfriends (which explains why Swedish prisoners don't have sex with each other). After about six months he would have been allowed to leave the prison during the weekends.

too bad that he lived. think of the costs to the taxpayer to house that guy in prison for the rest of his life. when you decide to carry a gun, you are deciding to play by very dangerous rules. when you decide to pull a gun on cops or anyone else... you deserve whatever you get.

Had this taken place in Sweden the gunman would have gotten something like 6-10 years (2-3 years if 15-17, 0 if younger), reduced by 1/3 had he behaved while imprisoned. He would done his time in what looks like a bedroom (no cell) with a locked window, a TV, a phone, a computer and of course, visits by family, friends and girlfriends (which explains why Swedish prisoners don't have sex with each other). After about six months he would have been allowed to leave the prison during the weekends.
