The Roman Catholic church is a disreputable institution. Many of the clergy are sexually frustated sad individuals who prey upon others. Believe me - I was one of their victims and I depise them.

Im a former high school seminarian, and I've studied male/female psychometrics, which leads me to believe that the tradition of male clergy in Catholicism is the most efficient position. Most priests see themselves as servants, so any type of power play argument evaporates with experience in the system. I've also studied gay psychometrics and that is another issue that the tradition of the church excels at.
This really makes me sad. As a woman on a path (God willing) to ordination in the Episcopal Church, I would never compromise my calling.....not even to return to the Catholic faith, which I dearly love. I know that I know that I know I have been called, and while I have yet to be "chosen", I will never question what God has shown me..

Would God call you to a path that involves circumventing Apostolic tradition, and Apostolic authority (given by Christ himself)? Would God call you to the priesthood knowing that his Church does not ordain women? Only a cruel God would call you to a path that leads to a brick wall. And God is not cruel. So you must be in error
@lesliebenjamin follow ur heart and conscience. God never "ordain" anyone... but he did called and assigned men and women to become leaders. Eventually the "priesthood" became so political and economical in heterosexist world and thus they developed such theologies and in order to justify them they said it is "apostolic" traditions. like @excalibersdomain said, God is not cruel but he just made God look so cruel for being heterosexist. God is not heterosexual nor do he needs to become one.

You accept whatever you feel as coming from God and ignore that you have your own human passions which can deceive, and that evil masquerades as good (and Satan can appear as an angel of light, but you probably don't believe in Satan - but evil does masquerade as good whether you like it or not).
