  • Today this Toshiba Regza is done. Though the sound still works, the picture is nothing but blurred, non-moving mess of lines. Less than 3 years of home use. A typical CRT would last 8, 10 years or more. Very sad Toshiba - A $1,400+- TV should last longer than 3 years yours gave us (less than that when the first issues started). Word of advice to anyone looking for a TV - DO NOT BUY A TOSHIBA! - It's not worth the chance is it? Buy any other and get the longest extended warranty you can!

  • @wuptedo i have a toshiba tv 40 " and i love it it has never let me down

  • @MrMielefan - It's just a matter of time.

  • Same thing going on with my Toshiba LCD right now...

  • @cutter23

Ours is still going - the flicker has stopped - don't know if it was interference from the power plug or what - the dead pixels across the bottom of the screen are still there. We did get the sound board replaced under the Toshiba recall. I can't watch that thing without getting aggravated, but what can you do....

  • @wuptedo I'd be happy if it were only the line of pixels (on my Toshiba 46XL177 Cinema Series REGZA)! I have a verticle line that has gone out on the right side about 3 inches from the edge. However, the flicker is far worse than what you've posted in this video. An odd thing about it, it seems to lessen the longer the TV is on... like it is warming up or something.

  • You think that's bad? I have one with colored bars running down the screen vertical. Toshiba knows about this, but they don't care.
