My Dad knew Michael Landon and he said he was a great man. very genuine, honest and giving. He knew him to be a Christian. :)

@JuanMacready he wa rased Jewish like his dad and was bar mitzah at 13. His mother was Catholic. So, he did pract the Jewish fath at lest at one point. After he left home he may not have gone to services of any kind but he could have practiced the true meaning of his faith. Many people stop going to a service but are just as Jewish OR Christian as those that go every time the doors are open MANY MORE SO

@gibbdreamer You''re right. He was Jewish. He even said that he went through hell in school for being Jewish, especially from his teachers who treated him like crap for it. He's interred in a Jewish cemetery, in a mozoleum in fact.

As he grew in Faith --- he showed the World when he gave us " Highway to Heaven " which to this day was a tremendous TV series & it is still on with reruns. Thank You - Mr. Landon.

This was my most favorite show on TV when I was a kid. It made me cry many times. Michael Landon was the best actor, next to Grizzly Adams. Melissa Gilbert was my favorite too.
