  • That was quite possibly the most pointless youtube argument i think ive ever read. Your routine should include all 3 of these types of training. Start a workout with an oly movement such as barbell snatch/DB snatch then proceed with the squats etc etc... I put my plyos on a seperate day to weight lifting and i include 1 plyo movement in on one of my workout days. You need a balanced program, dont favour one form of lifting over the other.

  • All THREE combined!

Power lifting is at number 1. The most important!!!

  • Example:

Take someone with a 150 pound bench press who wants to be a great shotputter. Someone tells him that he can be an olympic caliber thrower if he just practices being very explosive with light weights. So he trains by putting 100 pounds on the bar and does sets of 5 as fast as he can. What's gonna happen when he goes out and throws against 400 pound bench pressers who can throw 300 pounds around as fast as he can throw 100? He's gonna get his butt kicked that's what's gonna happen.

  • Your olympic lift only increases when you actually improve your 1 rep max which is power lifting!

In other words, power lifting / limit strength IS the source of all explosiveness, quickness etc. You can only generate more of your raw strength quickly only when you actually have lots of raw strength in the first place!

    So noob.

  • @youpussy9 lol AC Barch is a fake, he admitted it when some dude on his forum called the news station that interviewed him. AC Barch is also more of an olympic lifter than a power lifter just because he squats does not make him a power lifter, everybody squats. Ronnie Coleman is much stronger than AC Barch too. Steroids or not it is true..

  • @Shadapaga Where did he admit? Articles, not some shitty thread like in tvs that says he's fake.

    Correction!:

    It's Olympic power lifter.

He does do power cleans, does not also make him olympic lifter?

    You're just absurd!

  • @youpussy9 power lifting is much different than olympic lifting but whatever, on his own forum he broke down because he used wierd camera angles. I would love to believe the guy is a great athelete but you can tell hes fishy when theres not one video of him dunking and all his videos are at different angles than his cameras.

  • @youpussy9 i would seriously investigate the his legitimacy before praising him like hes god.

  • @Shadapaga

HAHA, I'm not worshiping him. I care only to my own performance. Even if he's fake I don't give a shit since anything is possible. I'm just saying power lifting is the greatest when training for jump!

And I'm sure he won't admit. He's a buddy of colin chung(buddy also of kelly bagget) and he says he's a modest person. 55 inch rvj? It's legit to me!

  • @youpussy9 in all seriousness olympic lifting is for jumping.

  • @Shadapaga no. Without plyo specially drops, you can get stagnant. Get lesser than what you deserve. Reactive ability is still important.

  • @youpussy9 yeah no shit, you just said power lifting is for jumping. I would like to see a power lifter out jump an olympic lifter or olympic athelete.

  • @Shadapaga Power lifter jumps high. Shut up. Limit strength is important

  • @youpussy9 power lifters dont jump high at all im done with you.

  • @Shadapaga power lifters jumps up to 40 inches without plyometrics or olympic lift. In other words no jump training. The limit strength is the most important. It is the squat to body weigh ratio that should increase!!

  • @youpussy9 my friend won the AAU 16u national championship in powerlifting and he cant jump for shit. When your very strong it comes down to explosiveness. I squat over twice my BW and my vert increases only when my snatch and clean increases.

  • @Shadapaga Your friend might not be able to generate force with much acceleration since he generate the MASS side of the equation. You tell me that you squat twice own weight? BULLSHIT! Now THAT'S power lifting!

It take more strength than you think!

It is limit strength that is the most important.

  • @youpussy9 i weigh 165 pounds and i can squat 365 with powerlifting form. I am a pretty good leaper but i really improve my vert. when my cleans increase. being able to accelerate the weight and lift the weight are two different animals. The way our nervous system interacts with our muscles effects how far we shotput or how high we jump.

  • @Shadapaga

You can put blatantly your numbers but power lifting is the one that SHOULD increase because it's all base on your limit strength!

Shut up you are increasing power output which is high mass low acceleration. After that and only when it increase THEN you could increase your rate of force further more or don't make such numbers!

    Noob!

    Top 3 Arrangement for jump:

    1. Power lifting for maximal force

    2. Olympic explosive lifting

    3. plyo for reactive/ reversal strength

    cont.

  • Actually, what Arnold would do is vise grip a gym-rat's head between his pecs and then chew on their taint.

  • @attaintruefreedom

Arnold is strong for natural body building standard. He used steroids. Even I could do that what he do when cheating. The possibilities are endless.

  • lol arny chewed gum while he lifted

  • "Gum is for babies..."

  • spit out that gum and your strength will increase by about 10%.
