This game is considerably better than Sensible Soccer. You have full control of the ball not just pushing it in front of you like a dung-beetle and the whole gameplay does not look like a rushed snooker session with the ball randomly flying across the field. Unfortunately, the design of the sprites and generally the washed out nature of all C-64 colours make it nearly impossible to distinguish between the 2 teams...

remember playing this down the arcade with the roller ball control - used to cut my hands to ribbons but scoring from kcik-off from the half way line was classic, and swervng the ball so much it almost went in a complete circle.

I would usually go by the boxes when I bought games as a kid, Microprose soccer was actually the only game I bought that was really good. Novelties like bananakicks, changing weather conditions and instant replays as a bonus on top of the smooth controls. It gets too easy after a while competing against the A.I, but there are always new ways of scoring to explore. The scoring sheets after each round had the spaciest tune ever in a video game. Best footy game on the C64.

ah the banana shot!!!! brilliant game , this was possibly the best game on the c64. my mate had it on floppy disc . no offence to Oman but wat hope have they got of making it into todays footy games .

I had this game for the Atari ST: On that platform Brazil were virtually impossible to score against,never mind beat. It was funny how the Keeper dived out the way whenever a shot came in from the edge of the box....2 footed sliding tackles,banana power...... Hours of fun,frustration and wasted youth.........Bloody brilliant!

Az időhúzás a második meccs végén nem volt szép dolog, viszont az oldalról becsavart gólok arról árulkodnak, hogy a játékos profi... :-)
