I would much rather pick honda over a dub. The reasons why I would choose a car, Volkswagen dont do it for me. 1. there are many different engine choices for hondas while dubs have to have a vr6 or maybe the 1.8t to go anywhere. 2. hondas are cheaper to work on while dubs are expensive to fix, let alone build. As a side note dubs to me are more of a show car, hondas are more all around, which goes back to point #2, stuff is more versatile, cheaper and available. my opinion though.

The VR6 is a GREAT, world class engine, that has won many many awards and accolades! It has good torque, and is smooth as balls. Especially the 24V VR6. VW should have offered a stock turbo version VR6, as that would have been one crazy sick motor!

im not sure what happend, i guess the rsx didnt have a good take off, but vr6's with even light mods are not really known for top speed. they are notorious for smooth acceleration. I raced one with my 06 civic ex coupe and my friend and his 06 Si. we both walked the mk5 vr6 golf gti, but i was only able to get 3car lenghts and then i hit my governor, he passed me slowly and the Si was GONE... I only have a cold air intake on my civic. Si was bone stock. vr6 had intake and exhaust

ok to all retards ragging on VTEc, almsot all car companies have some sort of VTEC. Mitsu has MIVEC, BMW had VANOS even Hyundai has it. So stfu about making fun of VTEC. A lightly modded RSX should keep up or beat a VR6

im not sure what happend, i guess the rsx didnt have a good take off, but vr6's with even light mods are not really known for top speed. they are notorious for smooth acceleration. I raced one with my 06 civic ex coupe and my friend and his 06 Si. we both walked the mk5 vr6 golf gti, but i was only able to get 3car lenghts and then i hit my governor, he passed me slowly and the Si was GONE... I only have a cold air intake on my civic. Si was bone stock. vr6 had intake and exhaust

THERE IS NO POTENTIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET OVER IT! A 500hp S2000 is pushing the limits, a 500 hp corvette is stock, it is no problem to see 1500-2000 hp out of an L motor...SO, unless your constantly playing the hp/L game, no.

i dont understand why the two of you had to go back and forth over a stupid difference in opinions. honda and vw both make good engines and we can leave it that. also in all the horse power per liter talk you didnt mention the wankel (rotary) engine. i.e rx8 has a 1.3 liter rotary engine that makes 238 hp.

Keyword here is "rotary" power. We weren't discussing other types of non piston driven engines, okay. No one else makes or uses rotary engines (for many reasons) so to compare it would be pointless. & what "stupid difference in opinions" are you talking about? Can you read? Our disagreement was based on engineering/ engine technology today, or lack thereof; such as huge displacements (Vette's "7.0 liter" V-8)/ forced induction systems(Evo/srt-4/wrx) some need just to compete with others. just a quick fyi, wankel rotary motors are in the rx7's, wankel's are not in rx8's. rx8 motors produce some horsepower, but are terrible compared to wankel's.

yes 1 cam and pushrods, in double overhead cam u got either 2 or 4 cams.. and a huge belt or chain so an ohv has less mass to move to with the right parts an ohv has an advantage over dohc
