i just got a pop pop boat and i just use metho and or alchole

just get some of thos tealite candles . take off the alluninum cover. remove the metal wick holder. put in pop pop boat candle holder and poar wax from another candle into it. its not that hard

What I do is get a tea candle and remove the wick and wick holder from it. Then I sit the wick in the fuel holder, then put an oil in the holder and light it up. It's nice because to refuel you don't have to extinguish the flame. Veggy oil burns nice and clean, used motoroil puts off realistic smoke.

Also, you can just scoop sterno out of a can, and burn it without a wick in the fuel holder.

@AxelShadowNite97 it depends, if it is absolutely molten then it might but it will wash off easily, but if it's very hot but not liquid it will give you a 2nd degree burn. I learned this the hard way!

just burn a candle than brake one get the wick out use the candle holder as a mold cut the wick and put it in the holder blow out the candle por the hot wax in the mold and let it sit so the wax will hardin and perresto!!! a pop pop boat candle

@AxelShadowNite97 Sometimes it can burn pretty bad if it is hot enough, but typical candle wax from a burning candle stings a good bit if the melted wax lands on you and doesn't leave a mark IF YOU ARE LUCKY. And it depends on how far it had to fall to hit you, how cool it got while falling. Wax cools very fast(thank you, long-chained hydrocarbons!).

@AxelShadowNite97 By the way, you can tell if the (very hot)melted wax will leave a mark if your skin starts to sting after the hot wax lands on you(remove it quickly!) and blisters after you remove the wax. The blister is a light burn but still needs to be treated with tender care. That is what I meant by leaving a mark. Cold water is your best bet, don't pop the blister, keep a gentle bandage and medicine on it. Your best medicine is prevention! Accidents happen but be careful! Good luck!

If it is a natural String (Cotton, Hemp, etc.) it will work, but if it is Nylon or some other synthetic String it will melt under the temperature, so yes, if you have the right kind of string it will work but wick is still the best.

That might work but there are all sorts of problems like how would you cut it into 1/4" slices without it falling apart, and it dose not fit perfectly so when you go to light it the melting wax might run down the side of the candle holder and make a mess of your boat.
