After Sarabjeet Kaur of Punjab in seventies I here see Rupinder Panesar a big name frm Sikh family in the field of Sitar. If she forgoes her mundane desire ( of getting married) for few years and concentrates on sitar, she can create a history for herself . She is beautiful but her music is more beautiful. I wish her great success in future. It seems that her guru Dharambir ji is an excellent teacher. Kudos to him for his sincere efforts.

its soo beautiful to see some one play the soul of a raag.... beautifully done....you have a crystal clear presentation.... and you're playing a very shuddh gayaki ang...im learning this raag so im getting double happiness to see this...

you should play with shuddh nishad a leetle bit to enrich it even more....but i love the way you connect to what you're playing.....

Rupinder is born and bred in the UK - she has been learning the sitar from Ustad Dharambir Singh, a leading Sitarist in the UK, since childhood. She has also had significant training with Ustad Shahid Parvez, hence chrisitar's comment.

She will be performing at the Darbar Fesitval in Leicester, in the same concert as Rahul Sharma (Santoor), on April 12th if you'd like to see her perform live.
