@RefiLewise It's Zi-DAN, the way it's pronounced. They don't pronounce it with an R sound in Dissidia, but the correct way of Zi-Dan. You're just miss-hearing it.

In the Europen version Zidane's name was converted to Gidan because of the similarity with the soccer player (Zinedine Zidane). Kinda funny :-)
Good character though. One of my favorite main characters in the series; right after Squall and Locke.
