  • u really did have this much fun playing the games back in99. when 128 bit first came out

  • poor dreamcast in my opinion one of the best video game consoles of all time

  • HEY NOT BE TO DREAMCAST DO USE THAT IS FUNNY DUDE

  • Someone get Sega a good marketing department.

  • Hey, Dreamcast was one of the best consoles all of time!!! (Sorry. Pardon my Kanye moment.)

  • I Think they should, and to better sony and microsoft with the dreamcast 3 , id buy 1 streight away online capability would be cool , thumbs up if you would buy the dreamcast 3

  • When it comes to a new sega console it's now or never because the original fanbase is fading away and room for a new console is getting smaller and smaller plus kids will only know sega as "that company that makes those sonic games for my ds"

  • @snake2006 this just in...you suck dick asshole

  • @snake2006 This just in, you are a retard

  • @justin12399

This just in, your mom's a whore.

  • @snake2006 This just in, snake2006 IS A FAGGOT!

  • @kirbyyasha

This just in, kirbyyasha fucks him mom.

  • @snake2006 This just in, snake2006 has the worst unoriginal "mom" comeback jokes ever!

  • Those lonely nerds should all pull their dicks out and have a Dreamcast night rubbing them together like Sega fishing rods. Then the dad orders a pizza. It will be a fun time.

  • Yes a new console would be great. it was the best console of that time. Sadly the image was not the best.

  • I know, I loved the wii cause my favorite games are wrestling games and I really liked them on the wii. Also all the retro games you could get on that thing. I bought it off sum1 i knew and he had so many classics on there. I was a idiot for selling my wii :/ lol

  • Guess why everyone is stting on the floor! ... freaking too short cables!

  • 1999 a trip to an electronics store find the assistant and say " ill have a sega dreamcast and a spindle of 100 cd'rs please. Thankyou.

  • @bazfanv2 hahaha, good times

  • @bazfanv2 That'll be $400 Dollars please!

    CDs back then where expensive!!!!

  • I remember this!

  • i got a dreamcast with all cables 2 controllers and two vmus for pretty much brand new for 27 dollars :-)

  • @mardfet u tyrna sell it?

  • Haha wow Best Buy has had the same logo since 1999.

  • @Trancemaster2052 Haha wow SEGA has had the same logo since the 70s.

  • i remember dream cast....

  • Picked up new dreamcast coupke of weeks ago... I FUCKING LOVE IT!!

  • It sounds to me like it said, "Bust Buy, turn on the fun."

    LOL

  • goaa sega dreamcast is great i bught a sega dreamcast last week is amazing this console

  • would it not be cool if sega made a new console ?

  • yahhhhhh !!!! it will be nice!!!! i would buy it know!!!!

  • i second that!

  • if they did it would fail im a HUGE fan of Sega but there doing fine just prodcing software plus there selling more, why release games on one system when you can do it for 3, 3x the money, 3x as many people who own one of the consoles

  • YEah but if they produced say 10 exclusive sega console games, which were just must haves then.. they would in turn be able to steer customers from other companies sony, nintendo, xbox.

They only failed cause they got confused in what they should be cartridges or disks, and at the time you needed to incorperate dvds,These days everyone has dvd or blue ray. So consoles can go back to be being about gaming. In that case this time round Sega would dominate ;)

  • @flmae46

Not to mention they have HUGE debts to repay since the gigantic economical failures both the Saturn and the Dreamcast were.

  • @SamanthaCarterFan01 yaaa i would love to c sega release another console dats even way bettr dan its past consoles

  • @SamanthaCarterFan01 it would probably be CD-ROM based while the ps3 is Blu-Ray Based. Sega was never good with hardware, but the games where Fun!

  • @SamanthaCarterFan01 ur right it would not be cool.....IT WOULD BE SO AWESOME, IT WOULD SCREAM SAXTON HALE!

  • @SamanthaCarterFan01 they are, 12/12/12 sega dreamcast 2

  • goddamnit,

the whole family plays a game...

i got this feeling once or twice a year with my uncle and his sega saturn :33

  • @nytrox84 i know, can't get my family to crowd around the 360, they all have there own! im like "Wanna come over and have a video game Frendzie!!!" their like "K meet you on live" im like "no, i mean acctually come over" their like "Bye (phone buzzing) im like "SAAAADDDD FAAAACCCEEEE :-("

  • @funkymunky65 Know how you feel man. I bought a Nintendo Wii cause u see on the commercials everyone is smiling and playing it together as a big happy family. Hey baby wanna play with me? No! Hey bro wanna play the Wii? I got the new Smackdown vs Raw! Na man Wii sucks... Wtf! Back when dreamcast, xbox, gamecube, and ps2 came out i couldnt get people to leave! We would all sit there for hours playing them. Now its pretty much hey man lets play this game! Ok see you online, or ok lets system link

  • @TNAfanatic863 People act like plugging their controller in your game system is gonna give their system back at home console herpes! Lmao! I promise my dreamcast is clean!

  • @TNAfanatic863 ya really, and pretty soon when consoles can only download games, you wont find any games used, you'll have to pay the video game overlords over priced fee!!! i remember me and my friends used to go through controllers like we did a 12 pack of cokes! now my controller is pretty much brand new -_-

I dont no how many countless time i would have to take my consoles apart and clean them and replace thier lasers cuz i played em so much!

now my consoles a almost new -_-

  • @funkymunky65 yea like that psp go bs lol almost bought it till i seen that part. N as far as replacing controllers I dont remember ever having to? Besides N64 if sum1 threw the controller Lmao cause those things would turn into a million pieces if ya did lol. Cough Mortal Kombat Mythologies... Only sistem I owned that died from playing it too much was the ps2 which was weird cause i barely ever played ps2 besides gta san andreas... My dreamcast is still mt #1 system lol I still play it daily.

  • @TNAfanatic863 most of my replaced controllers where n64 controllers. the joystick would get so worn out they would basically act as if there was no spring in side it.

i took apart the joystick of the controller. there was ground up plastic in there and i had to replace the joystick. why did nintendo make the axes out of plastic? why not metal? they would last A LOT longer. my xbox was so old the HDD died in it.

and ya cant replace the hdd without the encryption key, luckily my xbox was modded!

  • @funkymunky65 Hey man just search on ebay for a Super Pad 64 Plus. That ones is made out of metal not plastic. It works really good too! Once I got that controller i never switched back. They have a few on ebay right now its the one that kinda looks like a gamecube controller

  • @TNAfanatic863 wow, thats the oddest looking controller i have ever seen!

but i will give it a try! thanks a billion! one time i bought a n64 from a flea market.

but it came with a 3rd party controller. that is the last time im buying a controller from that place. i got it home, hooked it up, system worked perfect! but the controllers analog stick FELL OUT WHILE PLAYING Super Mario 64!

but my favorite accessory of all time is the GameShark!

i have an odd looking one, had a port on the back of it

  • @funkymunky65 Your welcome man! I still remember the first time i got that stick lol I saw Harvest moon 64 when i was a kid at my local game store, I always wanted it but I didnt have enough for it. I traded in my controller just so I would have enough to get the game to make sure sum1 else didnt get it. Lmao! Then a week later I went back to buy a new stick, that was the only one in stock so I bought it, loved it, and never switched back to the original.

  • @funkymunky65 Also I bought a gamecube and original xbox at a flea market b4, both were about half the going rate looked and ran like new. As far as my dreamcast I bought at a local game store I had to take it apart and clean the interior and exterior big time! Especially the controller it was fucking nasty! Then I also got a xbox from there the first one didnt work from the minute i brought it home and analog waas like chewed off (they blamed me) 2nd one the dsc tray never wanted to close...

  • @TNAfanatic863 i got my ps2 (slim) and gamecube from a yard sale. it was in a box for $15. the ps2 came with cables, however the GC didn't. they both worked perfectly, but the kid who owned them previously really liked cologne. i scrubbed those consoles for 30min. strait!! and its still has the cologne smell.

At least it doesn't smell like dry coke and console cheese.

i never had the disc tray stuck problem, maybe the cog is misaligned with the tray.

  • @funkymunky65 Idk what was wrong with it, I just brought it back to the dude and decided I'm never buying a game system from that game store again lol. I bought a sega genesis model 2 from there too and even that was messed up. It would turn off all the time cause something in where you plugged it in was loose. Gave it to them to fix it n a week later i got it back and it was still broke lol My dreamcast is the only thing that lasted from there so far and my game boy color too suprisingly

  • @TNAfanatic863 I go to local book store to get my games, there are more movies and games than there are books! I just bought Half-Life 2 for xbox for $3.95.

The case was almost perfect, and it came with the manual, looks like it had never been used. but i never bought a console from there. They sell every console you could imagine! the movies are even cheaper $1.95 for dvd and $5.00 for Blu-Rays! i made my own gamebit out of a flathead to open and clean my n64. you just need a dremel!

  • @TNAfanatic863 if you want, i could tell you how to make a gamebit.

  • @funkymunky65 Na i guess i dont need it lol all i have left right now is a dreamcast idk if u need it for that? Got ridda all my other systems on ebay might get a wii back though soon

  • @TNAfanatic863 Na, i don't think a Dreamcast uses a GameBit.

Usually Nintendo is the one to use the "Safety Screws".

I'm thinking about getting a Dreamcast. Could you tell me some of your favorite games?

  • @funkymunky65 Depends what your into man. Crazy Taxi 1 is very fun, never really liked the characters in part 2 much. Sword of the berserk Guts rage is a awesome game, many videos on here of it. Omikron the Nomad soul is the reason I rebought a dreamcast. Really great game, and it has pretty much everything. Many vids of that on here too. Theres gunplay, fighting, puzzles, and alot more finally beat it last week lol. D2 is pretty good in a resident evil kinda way, Obviously the sonic adventures

  • @TNAfanatic863 Honestly if Zelda was on Dreamcast I'd by it. XD

  • @MrInsanity25 Sadly no games like Zelda that I can remember, but the dreamcast still has some greats too

  • @TNAfanatic863 know Zelda is Nintendo but ah well I can't buy a Dreamcast cuz I'm getting a 3DS and one of the launch gamees is supposedly a Sonic game. It might be later though.

  • @MrInsanity25 oh, I wanna pick one of those up too and maybe a Wii had one but noone ever wanted to play the damn thing so i traded it for a 360

  • @TNAfanatic863thats cuz all anyone cares about anymore are graphics

  • @MrInsanity25 also i dont really care for 360 or ps3 they bug with my eyes too much

  • @TNAfanatic863 HA I only have it for CoD

  • @MrInsanity25 i dont remember which game it was i bought the wii for? shoot i dont even remember what games i had for it

  • @TNAfanatic863 Not the Wii that has a LONG list of games I'm talking about 360

  • @MrInsanity25 oh, ok thought u meant the wii. The only games i really liked on the 360 was gears of war, dead rising and fable 2. I didnt like anything on the ps3. It shows the wii is the best system right now which is apparently why ps3 is copying their controller now

  • @TNAfanatic863 IKR. I've been betrayed by sony too many times as a hardcore gamer to trust them anymore.

  • @MrInsanity25 Their systems are made to cheap, thats the only systems i've had that ever broke... All sony playstation's 1's and 2's. Shoot my ps1 broke from my sisters stupid furby falling from the window to the top of it. After that I never bought another one. Then I had 2 ps2's I bought from game stop, both of them they stopped loading the blue discs after a month...

  • @TNAfanatic863 And my friends still think they're better

  • @MrInsanity25 Nintendo and Sega have always been made better. I've never had a broken nintendo or sega system. Ever. They are builtt better. Sure there is no dvd players on their systems but I dont buy a game system to watch movies anyways. I buy games and systems for one thing, gameplay. I dont really give a crap about the graphics as long as its fun. Like I said my favorite video games to play are wrestling and even with the new one out my favorite to play is still WWF No Mercy or WCW vs NWO

  • @TNAfanatic863 well said

  • @MrInsanity25 Its true man, and if it wasnt for Nintendo and Sega there probably wouldnt be a gaming industry anymore... Shoot just looking at the xbox and xbox 360 it looks like they got a few of their ideas especially the original xbox controller ideas from the sega dreamcast controller

  • @TNAfanatic863 playstation controller from SNES. Your right about no gaming industry cuz back in the 80s videogames were going through a great depression so to speak. No one was buying them nor were they playing them. Nintendo came and turned that around using R.O.B. as a selling point.

  • @MrInsanity25 Yea i remember that, Nintendo pretty much begged the stores to display NES systems. Either Nintendo NES or Sega Master system was the first system I played. I still remember the first day we got the nintendo. My aunt had one and my parents bought a tv from a rental place that actually had a nintendo nes built into it. Man I wanted that tv so bad! But my mothers idiot ex ended up selling it to who knows who when i was about 14 so I had to sell my 100's of NES games to Funko Land

  • @TNAfanatic863 That sucks. That's worse then mine and my gram's Zelda just stopped working on her NES

  • @MrInsanity25 yea I was pissed cause I had just about every nintendo nes game there was back then, and there was no retro game stores in my city besides funco land aka game stop and they never had a nes in that i saw. But at least i traded em before they started completely jipping u on trade in value I actually left with alot of new stuff for my other systems

  • @TNAfanatic863 Well at least some good came out of it.

  • don't be such a loser. go out and have a life.

  • the 6th generation was dreamcast ps2 GC xbox an this is a FACT

  • @aubba Your absolutly right!! Thats a fact!!

  • @aubba the dreamcast is sooooo under-rated

  • looks fun! for people with friends.

  • If only they still sold damn dreamcasts, I got a dreamcast for 5 bucks, they left out the AV cable, I didn't know it would be so much of a pain to find one!!!

  • would you sell it?

  • That is a bargain. I just got a boxed dreamcast with 3 controllers (2 Boxed), 3 VMU's (2 boxed), Soul Calibur, Star Wars Episode I racer, 2 Sports games, UFC, Web Browser disc, and 2 demo discs all for a mere 20 bucks at a garage sale. I think I did pretty well myself too :)

  • That is a true bargain!

  • more like the 6th Generation (PS2, XBox, GameCube) because that is what generation its from. 128 bit era

  • okay thanks :]

  • what? no. it has 128-bit graphics

  • Good thing i still have my dreamast

  • i miss dreamcast.

i still own one but hardly have any games. i luved PS2 but damn they didnt have to obliterate the dreamcast like that.

  • 2nded man...sighs it was easily one of the best consoles ever, online gaming out of the box at that time..maaan talk about one generation ahead eh?

  • Man Dreamcast is so FUN!!!!

  • would you be willing to sell it or something please!

  • yea id sell it to u how much would u pay for it?

  • do you live in America? is it a NTSC dreamcast? I just want the core system, no cords, maybe a few games or something. I will gave you around 15-25 dollars. I just want the core system itself. that what I want. I will have to see though if I can.

  • ok why would u want a system with no cords but games? n i would sell it to u for that but if u want that it for that low u might as well get it from someone off ebay....they will give u a system, cords, controllers and possibly a VMU and an extra game or two for around $50! (shipping n handling is expensive tho)

  • I try and get back to you. where do you live?

  • turn on the Fun

    I love old comercials

  • in japan

  • Best Console Ever

  • i do think it is one of the best but PSone, PS2, SNES, n N64 would have something to say about that....but u cant go wrong with the dreamcast either man, it did awesome without that much 3rd party support tht N64 n PS1 got....dreamcast had one of the best 1st party librarys if u ask me. JGR, Sonic, Power Stone, Crazy Taxi, Soul Calibur (exclusive but not 1st party), NBA 2k's n NFL 2k's, Sega GT, n prolly more than im listing lol thats how great the dreamcast was.

  • Funny how they advertise Dolby Digital surround, yet the Dreamcast doesn't support it!

  • i remember this commercial and i got my Dreamcast from Best Buy and still have it

  • man dreamcast is awesome but it sucks mine broke ill get a new one later, man i would really want to play crazy taxi right about now!

  • How about Marvel vs. Capcom or Power Stone? Those games kicked ass!!!

  • is power stones really good cuz i had #2 and i beat it easily and after geting all the charcters its boring i sold mine 4 $55 is that good?

  • Happy Birthday Dreamcast!

  • Man, the Eastern version (Indiana, Illinois, Ohio) Version was awesome. It went into the little triangle thingy on the system, and it was a 3d sonic running down a wall in a 2d chemical plant zone, and a jumped up, along with some other sega characters, and jacked the dreamcast from eggman and gave a thumbs up.

  • I love Dreamcast!

  • I herd the dreamcast lasted in Japan from 1999-2006 that's what I herd.

  • 1998-2006 actually

  • It's still runnin' man, 3rd party developers are releasing games on it still. One or two a year or so.

  • true but they're indie developers, it's not like activision or something

  • Yeah, my bad on that one, I should have stated that better =P

    Thanks for the correction.

  • well regardless that's more than most other consoles can say

  • any rpgs?

  • No, mostly horizontal and vertical shoot'em ups, and there have been a few puzzle games. RPGs might not be the smartest investment for a "commercially dead" platform. Sorry to report that =)

  • Sadly, 2007 was also the last year of tech support and parts for Saturn and Dreamcast (though I hear Nintendo just stopped supporting the NES in 2005!).

  • Not excactly. Nintendo dropped support for NES in 1993, but in 2005 Nintendo of Japan dropped service for rewriting disks for and fixing units of Famicom Disk System.

  • Okay, I guess I heard wrong, thanks for the correction!

  • Other examples (Japanese titles released after 2001): Ikaruga, Hope Karous, Trigger Heart Exelica. The official death of commercial DC games occurred in 2007, the year that the GD-ROM format was officially discontinued (at least that's what I read).

  • An example of a commerical game for the DC I'm talking about (released after the system's "death" in 2001) is like "Last Hope."

  • Wikipedia has a list of independently developed, commercially released Dreamcast games. Check it out!

When I say "homebrew" I'm talking about the games that were released for free on the internet that you download, burn, and play with a boot disc on your DC. I guess technically you could say these are "homebrew" games if they were not liscensed officially by sega during the regular run, but they are certainly commercial games, that were actually sold, legally.

  • They were playing Ready 2 Rumble Boxing! Man I love that game!

  • mine was stolen :(

  • mine was stolen :(

  • AHHH THE SWEET DC may that system should just now be dying out... *sniffle*

  • It died long ago.

  • it actually just had a new game for it made at the beginning of this year i believe after a steady stream of games in 07 and 06, but i think it has been laid to rest now, but i actually said the system SHOULD just now be dying out...

  • What?! Why didn't I hear of these games? And what games were they? I still have my Dreamcast as a memory of Sega's last console.

  • Basically 1-2 games have been released each year since 2002. They're mostly overhead shooters. You can check wikipedia or google it. A few prominent homebrew games came out too like "Feet of Fury" (which was a commercial clone of DDR).

  • OKay, then. It's weird how invisible those titles are.

  • Well, you can't expect a big advertising media campaign for games coming to a "dead console" right? Sega wasn't involved, and the media wanted to focus on the new systems that were selling big at the time. If you seriously can't find any information on these games, PM me.

  • Good point!

I looked it up, but I'm not sure if I found homebrew titles or official Dreamcast games.
