  • Oly crap u are more badazz then Gordon Ramsay

  • You are one bad mother bugging cook!

It says from your video here, stamina is not overly attractive to invest it, however I see you have 210 health and 710 stamina? Why?

  • @romeolongsword - because this character is for making videos and to start off, i needed carry weight and ability to run for long distances. i wouldn't build a real character this way.

  • @pms00 Thanks mate, out of curiosity, what is your real character like in terms of magicka, health and stamina distribution?

  • @romeolongsword ~ 85% health, 15% stamina, nothing into magicka.

  • @pms00 Thanks again PM, why 15% stamina? Thanks mate I am learning a lot from you so far.

  • So, if I get this correctly: I only have to invest points into Magicka and Health?

If I go on this even further, I only need to make sure to have no more than 1426 (highest amount of points for a spell (Fire Storm) points into Magicka, without the Master Destruction perk. With it, that means 713 total. If my calculations are correct, you need than only to invest (at least) 7 points in Magicka.

  • @Leto85 ~ well, stamina also determines how long you can sprint and it increases your carry weight. the point was that stamina doesn't matter for power attacking when you use cooking. also see my TS guide on making magicka-free spell casting, so you don't have to put too many points there nor spend the perks, either.

  • @pms00 Yes, the sprinting ability is very handy, but mostly outside of combat though.

And I was taking the magicka-free casting in mind, on top of the 7 points Magicka you could give it.

I've seen your video about that. As a matter of fact, I am going through them all for the past few hours to see what I can use (which is A LOT) and learn from your tutorials.

You're the best explainer of all YouTube members I could find so far for this game. I'm wondering how you came up with those tips.

  • @Leto85 ~ many of them i have discovered from my own experience, but i also get involved in the forums. some of my video descriptions have links to threads that inspired my testing. for example, i can't take credit for necromage or discovering the armor cap but i spent the time to figure out how it worked and added my own tips to the mix.

  • @pms00 Interesting. Do you have information about why the Necromage on a level 4 vampire stop working? At level 4, the character won't benefit the Necromage thing while making potions, upgrading armor, either physical or magical.

I've played as a level 4 for a while, including the fact that some people could attack me, but I couldn't go back to a previous level and neither could I benefit from the Necromage perk.

  • I chose my gender as a woman and now my cooking skill is up to 100???

  • DAMN.

Nice video. Wonder what else looks silly but rocks.

God this game is full of surprises.

  • my redguard cried when i watched this

  • Amazing! I wasn't even aware of this. So cooking is underated for nothing after all.

  • It's only overpowered if your a female ;(

  • Thumbs up if you figured it out but have not told your friends lol :D

  • Thanks for the info. This really helps my two-handed warrior class today.

  • why u life no down?

  • @Thewhitedemonrodo vegetable soup brah

  • The fondue is overpowered

  • Sprint stamina is irrelevant too. Just use become ethereal. It makes blocking arrows with a shield stupid, and allows a much safer approach to archers. You can also hit it for infinite sprint, and temporary invincibility to dragon breath. Those are just a few benefits.

You really can pour all your points into health. It's almost dumb not to - unless you want carrying capacity, and even then, your wife is a mule.

  • Sanji would be so proud...

  • Easy block leveling: Eat vegetable soup - nonstop shield stuns.

    With perks, you're unstoppable.

  • The immortality also seems to help.

  • You forgot to mention the "larger inventory" benefit of investing in stamina increases.

  • HUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUE

  • WTF why were you using a pick axe?

  • @PopcornColonelx

It has a very fast double-swing animation for power attacks, and it has been confirmed that both swings do power damage.

Thus it is actually makes for a surprisingly decent one-handed weapon if you know how to use it, and it can be had for free.

  • Love that you use the notched pick axe

  • This is why you eat your vegetables, kids!

  • lawl woman cook

  • I think there is a misunderstanding. If you are out of stamina then a power attack becomes a normal attack, although you see the power attack animation. The game says so itself during one of the loading-screen tips.

  • @benbenbeartrax - ok. but you are not "out of stamina". you have 1 stamina, and it consumed to perform the attack. it does full damage, test it yourself.

  • @pms00 That seems to be a bug then. I'm pretty sure the tip clearly states that spells or PA's used with too little stamina or spellpower will fail.

If it succeds with 1 stamina, either the tip or the effect is incorrect/not working.

  • I hate to be the guy that says this but... stamina also increases carry weight. Not just "sprint distance" as you insist.

  • I feel like the chain power attack is an exploit, it seems to be on the game breaking side of things but I'll definitely try it for myself

  • Since when is cooking a "skill"?

  • I make armor sets and give them their perspective prefixes that reduce spell costs by 100%+, sure its abit time consuming but zero magicka is cheaper than -100 Magic cost for a once only cast.

  • @chattyw87 - i do the same thing. have one set of conjure/destruct gear and one set of illusion/restoration gear.

its not that bad to switch to the gear, but it can be a pain to get enchanting up high enough to 20%+ so that you won't need more than 200 magicka.

i agree with you that the ideal caster build should be utilizing magicka-free casting. the food is a solid fix until you have that available.

  • @pms00

You only need some restoration potions and it can be done at a fairly low level. You only need 2 pieces of gear when you have the last enchanting perk and you can cast everything for now mana cost at all. Breaks the game I know, i dont use that gear anymore and limit myself to normal enchants.

  • @chattyw87 - the sad truth is that health is the only thing worth spending points in ><

  • @chattyw87 - rendering that ts guide now. been putting it off for too long. thanks again.

  • @pms00 oooooooooooooh, thanks, much appreciated, but I can only do 19% destruction less with about 80 enchanting, 20% enchanting potion, and grand soul gems

  • @krzy1kris - get that enchanting to 100 and make a set of fortify alchemy gear and you'll make better enchanting potions to make better destruction gear. the fun of skyrim tradeskills.

  • I make vegi soups because it doesnt use any alchemy mat. But, as a magic/archery char it doesnt help me very much

  • Too bad leeks don't drop from barrels like all the other vegetables do. I wish a mod or patch would fix that shit.

  • @Arbie8327 I've found heaps of leeks in barrels. Try looking in the barrels in the mage's college

  • @Arbie8327 Also they seem to respawn after every 3 or so visits

  • Cooking mama beating a dragon, that's some shit !

  • @SolalChabauty - Don't worry, mama will fix it.

  • Those damn cheese wheels are hard to find - unless the wedges work?

  • You also get increased carry weight which is well worth it.

  • @SGTNAPALM333 - if you use a companion, they have unlimited carry weight. stamina is a bad investment.

  • @pms00 no they dont, after a ceirtain weight you cant give them anythingelse

  • @Examode - well, call it a bug, but if you interact with them and tell them to do something then direct them to the object, they'll pick it up ignoring the carry weight. thus, unlimited.

  • If you increase stamina you also increase how much you can carry . . . . . . . .

  • @DDP117 obviously, @pms00 overlooked this fact

  • @xSleepyKylex - no, @pms00 uses fortify carry weight when needed, or would tell a companion to carry items if over-encumbered. if you like stamina more power to you, but its really a poor investment. your character though, not mine.

  • @DDP117 if you're a mage then you don't need to carry as much

  • @MultigrainPie YOU. Make a valid point. But warriors like to run xD actually running is very useful for shield types. And as a light armor my stamina comes back in an instant.

  • At 3:00 there is a mistake. Instead of "sold by" it should say "stolen from the corpses of"

  • @caracatoacacepe Hey! I resent that!

  • Your right though the OP of the video, cooking isn't worthless when you harvest the shitty mechanics of this game which equate 1 stamina as good as 75 stamina when it comes to using power attacks.

  • stamina is good for carry weight aswell though, and obviously this video is redundant for archers, but otherwise - useful video - thanks :)

  • Why bother exploiting faults in the game, this is obviously overpowered. Don't see the point tbh.

  • Great tips. Basically makes my mage more invincible. Kudos for finding this out.

  • shield bash stun lock is my favorite use for soup

  • Skyrim is only a broken game if you choose to break it. Period. Don't complain because you can have -100% mana cost, or render stamina useless because of what this video explains. All Elder Scrolls games have a point where you become an all-powerful demi god. Bethesda always gives you the right to become WAY overpowered, it's your choice to use it or not. This isn't WoW (or any other MMO), and it doesn't need to be perfectly balanced.

  • @StephenDaleHunt perfectly said mate. Wish more people would realize this. But as long as I do, then i'll have fun!

  • Comment removed

  • So this video shows that you don't need to put any points into stamina. And every one knows you can enchant -100% spell cost gear, you don't need to put points into magica. Broken game.

  • @prototype21 No it shows that if you WANT to, you can break the game.

It's not a broken game until you break it. You have to actively use these things.

  • @TheRealBarnez Your right & using your own logic the car you drive isn't broken until you try to use the breaks on it and realize they don't work.

  • @prototype21 Actually no. My logic would say that car isn't broken until you cut the brakes and then try to use them.

The point is, everyone knows it's extremely overpowered if you make a set of gear with -100% to a school of spells, but that doesn't mean the GAME is broken. It means that you can make your character overpowered if you want to.

  • @TheRealBarnez Im pretty sure the finished product of this game came w. mechanics such as fortify smithing, alchemy, and enchant & smithing potions, i don't go out of my way to stumble upon these gamebreaking mechanics.I didn't have my way or cheat myway or exploit to obtain these mechanics.

  • @TheRealBarnez if i wanted to exploit or be overpowered beyond god mode thats what NOVICE setting is for or what console commands are for, palm face that ppl can't comprehend this logic and try to defend this shitty game design.

  • @prototype21 Okay, look.

If it was a "shitty game design", nobody would have bought the sequels to the first one? This is the FIFTH, and it still functions the same. It's also the 3rd in a row to get GOTY.

You have to choose to go make this meal, you have to CHOOSE to enchant 4 items with -25% spell cost. If you don't like the mechanics, don't use them.

Also, we CAN understand your "logic", we just disagree. It's not a shitty game because you say so.

Simply put, your opinion? It's NOT a fact.

  • @TheRealBarnez Implying pame of the year means anything. Every triple A title has one. You must be a retard.

  • @LaxRatBra I must be a retard... because of what? Because I think that a series that consistently gets GOTY from multiple sites and reviewers and that I enjoy must be good?

I'm sorry, care to explain why I MUST be a retard?

  • @TheRealBarnez My comment says why your retarded. Other then the p instead of a g i think it was pretty straight forward. Also I never said anything about if the game was good or not, personally a love the game. You must be a faggot.

  • @LaxRatBra Believing that consistently getting 90+ ratings and GOTY from multiple reviewers does not make me retarded. Having an extra chromosome or a mental handicap would make me retarded. The above is neither.

Not all AAA titles get GOTY, which DOES mean something. It means it's a very high quality game (90%+), which many AAA titles are. I'm aware you didn't call the game bad, but the guy I was replying to before you decided to butt in DID.

Sorry if this is too hard for you to understand...

  • @TheRealBarnez cool. Also all AAA titles get goty or a platinum or something along those lines it doesn't mean anything

  • @LaxRatBra Look. The point was he was saying that the game was shit. I was saying that it couldn't be that bad, everyone seems to love it and it got GOTY multiple times.

While I won't say GOTY makes a bad game good... it does give an indication of if a game is good or not.

Skyrim got 90%+ and "probably going to be GOTY" from EVERYONE who reviewed it.

Regardless, lets stop here, i'm bored of arguing :P

  • @TheRealBarnez

Or Bethesda has the money to bribe those reviewers. Don't tell me it didn't happen before.

  • @IulianRemo Considering that's actually illegal and review companies can make a crapload more money by reporting them if they do, companies like Bethesda tend not to.

  • @TheRealBarnez lmao you don't know shit then. Reviewers get paid by big companies for good reviews. Do you really think GTA4 is a 10 out of 10?

  • @bobadrunkie You're right. I don't know shit. I tend to just flush mine. TBH I don't care about your opinion so bye :)

  • @bobadrunkie GTA4 was totally 10/10. If you disagree you are wrong.

  • @999newaccount GTA has always been a poor game... Get Saints Row... Thats way better than GTA.. And Skyrim is FAR better than GTA always.

  • @FusionCicada Got all those games. Saints Row stopped being interesting once I had finished it once. GTA 4 still has the best physics, driving, atmosphere, sound, detail, graphics, and overall general gameplay of any open world sandbox- type game. I have played nearly every one of these types of games since the original Driver came out way back.

    Skyrim is great.

  • @prototype21 Single player games don't need to be balanced. You don't have to do these things that make you into a god, no one is gonna make you.

  • @HybridDBela "single player game don't need to be balanced" right... Well every game that was made tried their best to be balanced before the internet. If you want easy mode thats what novice setting is for or what god mode console commands are for.

  • @prototype21 Actually, nearly every open world game has a way to make your character extremely overpowered, but only if you do so intentionally. I will agree that the beef stew is a bit ridiculous, but this is a game with over 300 hours of potential play, and you're complaining that you can break it?

  • More reasons to put points into stamina is to carry more without being encumbered.

  • "Moon sugar is commonly sold by the khajits" Yo man das RACIST!

  • @TheInformativeGamer In the lore, Moon Sugar is their export and product:

"Despite the extremely addictive nature of the sugar, it is an integral part of Khajiit life and the chief export of Elsweyr, where it is smuggled out in both raw and refined forms." - quoted from the UESP wiki

  • @iMcNerd why not? he's level 81. it's not that hard to level up skills

  • @mountchinkamanjaro He's got 54 perks left to use, I'm pretty sure he just used console commands for this. Good vid though.

  • @mountchinkamanjaro As palehorse said. Dirty PC users, always cheating!

  • 2:10 seems legit...

  • Stamina aids in carry-weight, sprint distance (necessary for running power-attacks), and archery.

  • why are you taking 0 damage when you're showing off your infinite stamina? god mode?

  • Not quite true on the "no reason to invest in Stamina". The zoom and slow time effect in Archery uses stamina at a constant rate like sprint does, and wouldnt really benefit from this.

  • @1.02 and larger inventory space

  • @SassanacGlen - tested on PC already and proven false. it does full damage.

  • @pms00 It doesn't do as MUCH damage - at least on 360.

  • 80% of video acctualy had nothing to do with cooking :P

you could show using 3 power attacks in row , not the whole fight with dragon

but, thum up anyway, i didn;t knew you can use this to use as many power attacks as you want

  • Crap, my stamina is already too high

  • These trade skill videos are a huggggeee help. Thanks man.

  • Every day I play a bit after work. I usually get lost and stuck somewhere and run to YouTube. God hath cursed me with a low I.Q. but blessed me with the interwebs. TY.

  • active effects - vegetable soup

no idea but i laughed so hard

  • One time i had no money and potions, i tried this its really helpful

  • are these effects permanent?

  • @bySneckDraw no

  • @ConnivingEagle -Once you get to a certain level, you will see Ancient and Elder Dragons. I saw my first Ancient at 49 and my first elder at about 40! Hope this helps man, good luck!

  • Hey, forgive me if this sounds noobish, but how do you trigger Elder Dragons? What I mean is, I'm level 35 with plus 40 hours into my character, and I have not yet run into one Elder or Ancient Dragon. Is there a certain trigger in the main questline for them to start spawning? Same for Alduin resurrecting other Dragons besides Sahloknir.

  • Ahahaha!!!!!

  • whats sad about this for me is tht i mastered destruction and conjuraction and my magicka is 530 and it goes dow n so fast and takes forever to go back up especially during battle. Plus i have gear tht does 125% regenerate magicka 100% regenerate 75% and a 25% thing.

  • @ixtoxicxz - you want to learn enchanting and put fortify destruction and conjuration 25% on each piece. 4 x 25% and you will have mana free destruction/conjuration. ditch the regen gear for this.

  • @pms00 I can only add Fortify Destruction on my body and helmet pieces? :#

  • @krzy1kris - ring / neck

  • @pms00 that breaks the game, i refuse to that just as i refuse to use impact

  • @ixtoxicxz Thats it? - I've got that on a single piece of gear on my maxed Heavy Armor + Enchanting Master Summoner.

  • @ixtoxicxz All you had to do is get the 25% cheaper cost items and you could of avoided putting 530 points into magica, you could of had 530 more health.

  • Pms increasing stamina = more inventory room

  • @mrredead - yes, true. with fortify stamina + carry weight though, you can make up for both without having to invest points. build how you want to build, really. just trying to show that food has value here.

  • Lol I'll take third? Great vid as usual!

  • @pms00 When can I do the Discerning the Transmundane in the quest? Thanks in advance if you do answer"

  • @TheForgeUndergound - you can start at level 15.

  • You weren't first.
