Shit, I'm getting ready to go take the ASVAB lol. Wish me luck o . o. and I'm going National Guard. Me and one of my closest friends are both going into the National Guard. Still waiting on my recruiter to send me the study guide via email...
haha my cousin is in the south carolina National guard. He deals with refeuling helos. They train twice a month. But he wants to Chnage his MOS the Firefighting so he might train more often. But he cant change the MOS since they are shipping for afghanistan next month

@hens623 No, it was just my first time taking the test and we were given very few time to answer too many questions. I know for a fact I'm not dumb if I'm in 12th grade with A's and B's in all my classes except art were I got a C- and I've never had to worry about summer school, thank you very much. I don't do peer pressure, it's as simple as that.

@THEOMGProduction yes but its not the same thing as being taught in school. my brother got that to study and he got 12. when he didnt use it and just went without any study he got 80. so it not the book its the person. the way he/she does it.
Its a 31 or higher for the national guard i took it in october 2010 it pissed me off the math was the hardest they ask you math questions not the formulas it gets confusing.
When it comes to the ASVAB you have to get a 31 or higher for the Army but that score does not make up your job score... Your MOS will be based on how well you do on the other aspects such as science, mechanics, electrical, etc... So that being said focus on the math ,english and the other parts of the test the deals with your MOS.
I was gonna try out for the navy but I changed my mind I'm going for the army and smh that the navy raise the minimum score to 50 but o well at least the army is 31 :)
I scored a 80 when I took my practice asvab...but then when I took the real thing I scored about half of my original score. So now I have to wait another month to take it again. You know the navy upped there minimum score from 35 to 50. If i had taken the asvab two months earlier I would have passed it...but its probably better to retake it and get a better score anyway, so that i can qualify for the job that I want...so I guess I'm off to study.

If you only need help with math don't worried about reading a book just go to that website that i told you about and enroll and do the Asvab section ( only ). Good luck

@TroiBoi00 Ok look this help me a lot, I went from a 19 to a 31, and am still studying more bc, I got to do do my reAl asvab this Tuesday, I went to this page called you teacher.com ( it's all videos they only teach you all math ) and for books I use asbav for dummies , hope this helps, good luck.

@wacey2002 actually air force isnt 75. It is 50. Army, Army reserve, and National Guard is 31. Marines is 32.USCG is 40. and navy is 35. as you can see air force is harder to get into. but the better you score the better bonuses u get. And its not only the math and english part u need to focus on. u need to at least try doing ur best on the whole test. u cant just go and say oh math and english i did good fuck this im marking whatever. good luck with that.
