Even if you know it's not loaded, please don't put your finger on the trigger....Can become a reflex and cause serious problems.....Plus just seeing those fingers on the trigger like that makes me feel queasy.

Serious issue....if you need to test the trigger pull, point the weapon somewhere where there aren't people and no chance of hitting people like the ground depending on floor material but dammit be careful.

What he is saying is that you always handle a rifle as it is loaded, even when its not. It's just a good habit have when handling firearms. Also, people don't like it when you aim ACTUAL firearms at them or in their general direction. And saying "Oh, it's unloaded, I checked" probably wont help a lot. They are not handling firearms correctly and I cringe and /facepalm every time they aim at people in the crowd.

Well I don't know a lot about this particular weapon. but I think that he's referring to the mag release, and the bolt catch. There really is no need for the cooking handle to be on both sides.

Cooking handle, the lever used to set the round in the chamber? The handle is so that it can be ambidextrous. FN makes a lot of their weapons to be easily accessible by left and right handed individuals. If that's what you're referring to.

tbh my knowledge about the f2000, is about zero. I was assuming that you meant the cooking handle, when you said "loading lever" And since the cooking handle isn't usually used when reloading a weapon. There isn't much use of it to be on both sides.

the m4 is not a fantastic gun its good but nothing special, all the FN hardware is phenominal, the bullpup design makes the gun very accurate but keeps the size down, the only downside is learning the bullpup if you're used to a normal mag and the weapons magazine release is a bit tricky
