Sorry, but you are an idiot if you buy any Call of Duty for multiplayer. MW3 is great, only multiplayer sucks, it's only a bit fun when you play with friends. MW3 singleplayer, special ops and survival are just great. I think that developers mostly focused on those three game modes.
One of my friends who is a COD fanatic told me MW3 is the same as all the others... I love it when I'm right. Call of duty has been the same since CoD 4.
the only thing they fucked up was the sniper rifles. I miss the beuty of the intervention. and the gold looks a little cheap, other than that. mw3 is better imo

@luigi972 PC games have been in HD before HD even became a standard. I was dissappointed when HD came out on consoles cos it was below was my 17" CRT monitor was capable of.
Only thing new about HD is video quality, videos were never in such high quality before but I used to play games in 2000 in HD quality.

Mw3 is a fun game, I don't know why people are complaining, yes its not too far off from Mw2 but its still FUN. The new additions are awesome too (weapon levels). Mw2 was a great game with a few flaws and this is pretty much our mw2 fixed up :) every year people insult the new CoD game and then a year later they love it and hate the next new one.
How can anyone argue that it's completely different from mw2? Same text/font, same engine (exact same animations for walking, running, dying, etc), same calsigns, brought back spec ops, only a couple of new guns added, a little different on the killstreak system, and just as shitty maps.
How can you possibly argue against that, "oh it has better graphics..." who gives a fuck about the scenery that's not what I play COD for, I play it for the gameplay. I was expecting a completely different game like Cod 4 to mw2 or even mw2 to black ops.
It's so sad to see people buy the same game all over again, I mean it hasn't lost it's fun of playing it but, I get bored of it really easily seeing as I already played mw2 since its release. There's no point in playing it all over again. Just get it through your heads you COD fan boys, if the franchise decided to make mw4 in 6 months from now (compared to the already rushed 1 year) you would buy it simply because, it's COD.

Okay, the textures didn't get any better, but they worked on the shadows and light maps. Looks better BUT that's what an update/mod does, you don't need an entire game for it <.<

If anyone has actually played MW2 for any length of time they should be able to tell the difference easily. Not simply because of the locations but the MW3 has more detail when it coms to the ground, buildings, grass, fire, etc.

I think that making it "slightly better" doesn't justify another $60. Just like all the DLC content being $15 for another couple maps. Just another way to squeeze money from their customers. The people at Bungie are experts at that. Yeah, I can see a visible difference. But, I am the customer and I refuse to spend $60 for a DLC for MW2 when I can spend it on BF3 or Skyrim... both of which have built completely new graphics engines from the ground up. Not complaining, just being a smart shopper.

1280x1024 is what i used to play at.
Then i got a 19" CRT capable of 2048x1536
full HD is 1920x1080.
Now i play at 1920x1200.
HD is a step down for a PC gamer.

It's so sad to see people buy the same game all over again, I mean it hasn't lost it's fun of playing it but, I get bored of it really easily seeing as I already played mw2 since its release. There's no point in playing it all over again. Just get it through your heads you COD fan boys, if the franchise decided to make mw4 in 6 months from now (compared to the already rushed 1 year) you would buy it simply because, it's COD.

If CoD released MW4 in 6months i would not buy it and there are tons of people who wouldn't too, also call of duty games get two years each. Mw3 pretty much went into production as soon as mw2 was released...also Infinity Ward is going through legal problems so i'm not surprised that this game looks like mw2

Talk about a slap in the face...Let the consoles have Modern Warfare, let the PC have Battlefield. It's not hard to follow. If anyone has actually played MW2 for any length of time they should be able to tell the difference easily. Not simply because of the locations but the MW3 has more detail when it coms to the ground, buildings, grass, fire, etc.
We are a visual people. I find it very hard to believe people honestly don't see the differences between the two games, especially when they are played side by side.

I think that making it "slightly better" doesn't justify another $60. Just like all the DLC content being $15 for another couple maps. Just another way to squeeze money from their customers. The people at Bungie are experts at that. Yeah, I can see a visible difference. But, I am the customer and I refuse to spend $60 for a DLC for MW2 when I can spend it on BF3 or Skyrim... both of which have built completely new graphics engines from the ground up. Not complaining, just being a smart shopper.

The problem is that they have positioned BF3 as a direct competitor to MW3. All the hype and marketing has made it clear that they are trying to snag some COD players with BF3. And many COD players are trying the demo, and not liking it because it is a dramatically different game.

@Luddzzee MW2 wasn't the best if any Modern Warfare it was COD4. My personal favourite COD has got to be COD1 for the PC though, seriously the first 2 on PC were great! And they were made by Infinity Ward so you can't complain.
P.S. I wouldn't advise going to play the old COD's now, full of mods, now I mean seriously FULL!
