I actually have an E8400 right now to test in a system with 4GB RAM and an 8800GT. On any setting there is lag, around 20 FPS constant with some drops to 15, or even 10 FPS. That's not smooth.

The jump from an E8400 to a 860 would be around 60FPS+ difference.

In 2000 I had an NVidia AGP GPU with 64MB VRAM which was still quite decent for the time. My dad had a card with 128MB VRAM which was great. I also had 192MB RAM, he had 768MB.

In 1982 you could expect to see maybe 52KB RAM at best, not 99MB (which is obviously 128MB anyway).

Why did you mix a HD 6670 with a 2500K?

2500K is the 2nd best processor available from Sandybridge and the HD 6670 is a low end graphics card... You would have been much better getting any quad core AMD processor from the last generation and a GTX 560 Ti, or maybe even a GTX 570.

PLZ PLZ PLZ tell me how you run this so playable? I tried gta4 on my pc and it runs at 2-3 fps with textures missing. (they are not really missing but they load very slow). I have a pirated version and installed it with crack. then i applied patch 7 and it says a cd key. then i applied patch 7 crack and it doesnt run.

@antirenatho GTA IV need shader model 3.0, this card is compatible;) but not work on all card 256MB, i've tested it on card: Radeon 9600Pro 256MB 128bits so... gta 4 doesnt work... this card use shader model 2.0b. 9600 GS was lowest than 7300GT, this card is probably lowest to play GTA4

The 7600gs works with AGP 4x just fine. the problem is that modern games crash because AGP 4x is only 1.5gigs a second and AGP 8x is 3gigs a second. the data transfer with AGP 4x is too slow to run newer games. I have the box for my BFG 7600gs and it said it will work with AGP 4x and 8x.

you are saying that the motherboard has a 4x slot, that can be the problem.

i had a pny 7600gs agp, it was detected as a 4x card, but motherboard was 8x. Heres the thing, the card could go beyond 4x bandwidth, but the motherboard could handle it, in your case, motherboard can't handle above stated bandwidth.

Or your system is flawed, trying with a fresh installation could be a good test

thanks for your reply. it seems what you said is correct. i used rivatuner to underclock the card and it worked. the agp controller seems to like the reduced bandwidth.

What driver are you using? I have a 7600GT agp with 195 drivers or something and it shows stretched polygons and missing textures/polygons in direct x games such as GTA. at driver 175 it is alright no polygons but can't see anything in GTA, anything higher than 175 has polygon issue, I just thought that the newer drivers don't work on agp cards, but then i saw your video

Overclock your your e2140 to at least 2.6 , and this game will then be playable for you , I overclocked an e1200 1.6 to 3.1 on Stock Cooling....Also get another gb of ram , Those 2 things will make a HUGE difference in your gaming...

1- use a dual channel memory 512Mhzx2 at 800Mhz Bus speed.

2. defragment HD on your game install and XP partition. (i use diskeper program)

3.- use patch for this game for Nvidia 9xxx series card.

ok, check u mainboard manual, and check u max BUS speed suuport... and u procesador speed and BUS...

but example my mainboard supoort only DDR400 stick rams = 200MHz but on dual channel 2x512Mb_ddr400 = 1G 400Mhz

if u main board suport dual channel try to buy two identical sticks rams... for 800mhz

only make this if u CPU and main board supoort on BUS 800Mhz or more.

u main board looks can handle FBS (front sie bus) 1333/1066/800 mhz and RAM sticks 800/663Mhz, but if u have one CPU with 800Mhz bus some mainboard dont supoort the last ram speed. that way that CPUz becomes handy becouse display the real speed. for example some mainboards like asus need a procesador with FBS 1333 for can handle the memory RAM speed of ddr2_1200

the recommend fps is 60, the human eye cant see the change from one frame to other...like lag... one good pc must have 60 fps aprox in complex escenes (smoke.water, high resolution) and high fps on not complex gamming... in other words o good pc must have many fps but should 60 or more fps in complex escenes.

check u FBS speed in u mother board.. and speed in RAM, dual channel help a lot.

U ring run the game aprox. 30-40 fps maybe more mybe lees depend u settings

yeah this card need always conect to power the recomend power suply is of 300Watts.... need unistall the Nvidia drivers form control panel, turn off the PC unplug the main conector power and remove the card.... restart and turn off again install the video card and drivers....

only i was play Liange2 on my other old card 6200AGP this card must run better.

i u card have a pasive term ned buy a other whit fan.. if u card have more of 60ºC
