I am thankful to God that Yvonne received compassion that lifted her up and gave her motivation to seek a better life. Considering her difficult start in life (an understatement) I cannot imagine the strength she must have had to gather within herself to start believing in herself for the first time in her life. I have two cousins that are addicted to drugs. One fo them has 2 sons, 3 and 7 months old. She is a crack addict and a prostitute. The other is addicted to cocaine and heroine. To see this woman who contacted the virus, get some help and do a U turn in her life gave me hope for my cousins. I have watched. listened and spoke to them about their problem. Yes Yvonne has made a lot of mistakes but no one in the situation meaning the guy picking up the prostitute or the prostitute herself are all that innocent. So don't go putting down her character because it took a hell of a lot of time for her to be able to be in a good place in her life were she wants to live and she can be loved by someone for more than 15 minutes. No one is ever going to forget she was a prostitute. She paid for mistake with what eventually will be with her life.

I have two cousins that are addicted to drugs. One fo them has 2 sons, 3 and 7 months old. She is a crack addict and a prostitute. The other is addicted to cocaine and heroine. To see this woman who contacted the virus, get some help and do a U turn in her life gave me hope for my cousins. I have watched. listened and spoke to them about their problem. I hope and pray that they can see this and learn from it. Give them hope and help them most importantly. Way to go Yvonne.. thank you.

Oh my...She REALLY changed her life. John you deserve credit for at least helping to change her life. Just wow, the things you have done and allowed people to realize is just amazing. It just really amazed me how she had a horrible early start to her life to COMPLETELY changing her life to going to college and having a goal to getting her doctorates. FANTASTIC job John and your friends for exposing the bad and bringing good to the streets. This is really what we should have on the news.

Amazing. i didn't know Yvonne existed until today. when i watched the 1st video, i thought like most people when i saw that there was another video. she will be dead without making her peace with her daughter. its nice to know that she has done better for herself. and maybe its made us all look round and see just what we have got, as posed to what we havn't. theres a saying i have known for a long time. omg this made me cry. i was looking at the first video, with her eating a corn, and i felt so sad. I thought to myself, she's probley dead by now. i just want to say that some one close to me was like her on the street selling her self just to get by and she didnt have it as good as the lady above she died of aids in 96 and it broke my heart and i'm glad that a woman can go thur all that and be so low can make it its a prime example how god helps and how if you have hope you can make it

I saw this on you yube by chance, i saw the original video's and cried out for this mother, her daughter and the terrible things that must have happened to her to end up this low and sad. Wow... that's all I have to say, Wow! This story has touched me, to see a prostitute who was sold by her own mother since she was 12, and has had sex with many men, who has now made something out of herself, and helps other people. I would have to say hat what she did for her daughter, was the right thing to do. Yvonne's story is just touching, and thank you Brian, you have changed her life and the lives of many others!

Actually, though many prostitutes are HIV+ every study has shown that HIV is rarely spread through prostitution. Yes, guy, we do have to forgive. It's up to society to determine if her life and circumstances were punishment enough. Whatever she did was not pre-meditated and, thank g-d, she finally woke up in the middle of her life and wanted a second chance. No one forced those johns to go pick up a prostitute and offer to pay her extra for unprotected sex. And if you have this kind of anger towards her then it's misplaced... obviously somebody else caused you harm and another's surviving it bothers you

Yes Yvonne has made a lot of mistakes but no one in the situation meaning the guy picking up the prostitute or the prostitute herself are all that innocent. So don't go putting down her character because it took a hell of a lot of time for her to be able to be in a good place in her life were she wants to live and she can be loved by someone for more than 15 minutes. No one is ever going to forget she was a prostitute. She paid for mistake with what eventually will be with her life.
