We threw a big party at our house for my mums birthday on this very night these adverts were on Yorkshire... memories. i only remember Diet Coke & Baby Sham of these.
Great set of adverts from 1994 including the Timex and the Delonghi ones. The latter advert, narrated by Ronnie Corbett who presented a BBC show called 'Small Talk' that year. 'Stay Another Day' did hit number one and I remember the remix of the song.
There is no such thing as a "brilliant album from Jimmy Nail", though the wording "songs from the BBC TV serial" is quite old-fashioned for 1994.
Those are some epochal singles on the East 17 album - "Around the World" seemed to say everything, the Sunday before John Smith died, and "Steam" was memorably mentioned in a Telegraph article to the effect that it was being played at country fairs (codified anti-Blair panic, of course). This is two days before "Stay Another Day" hit number one.
