I am sorry, it is not NOT 1982, it is probably a decade or more earlier... I have a re-recording done in 1982, I mixed it up with the date of original recording. I went to college in the seventees, and I have heard this on Vividh Bharti, so it is either early 70's or perhaps late sixtees even. But the infor I provided about the composer and lyric writer is accurate.

This song was recorded in 1974, as per the index of songs appearing in Manna Dey's autobiography Memories Come Alive (2007) which is a translation of his original Bengali Jiboner Jalsaghare (2005). The list also confirms the names of Anjaan and Shyam Sagar as the lyricist and the composer respectively, as mentioned by you.

This is a non-film song, and one of Manna De's best... Recorded in 1982, this song was written by ANJAN and the music score for it was composed by SHYAM SAGAR. WOnderful song indeed...
