I saw something very similar to that. I saw a bright flash and almost instant thunder- on video I got it too. and when I came home from school today I found a burnt tree. I started laughing.
Actually lighting can travel from the ground up. Its not as common as from sky down but it is possible. lightning is only a giant static jump so it can go both ways.
It is an amazing video. Now, I see lots of "copies" of the bolt all over the picture. I don't think that any of this is "photoshopped", but that the electromagnetic pulse from the strike "staggers" the picture, putting the image out of sync.
that's a lie, the lightning when you freeze frame it is the very same lightning created in Jasc paint shop pro.
and none of those lightning bolts left any Soot on the side of that one house when they hit it. its also funny none of those bolts are connected to the main lightning bolt.
I don't even have Jasc Paint Shop Pro and wouldn't know how to do that anyhow. All I did is slow-motion what the camera took. I didn't add anything. Don't tell me... you're one of those conspiracy theorists that believes that the lunar landing was a a hoax...
well, I wasn't alive back then, but I believe its real.
I took your video and separated it by frames, and its ether the reflection of lightning on the lens or its edited in. being the guy I am I'll take your word that it was real but hey, its the internet. >_>
@RobDFL Nah, not the lunar landing. I believe that one. But however I do believe our government knew of 9/11 before it happened, using it to gain money and to start a war. If that tells you anything.
Two years? It seems like just a few months ago I left that comment. Reviewing it now though in my later maturity it looks more like reflections. I think I was trolling at the time. <_<
@FireRush50 idiot, those were artifacts+ positive streamers. I've watched real and video lightning enought to wpot whats ral and whats not. as for the house, I've recently saw (literally in person) a strike like that. It was further than I calculated. I had thought It hit the next house, but when I came home from school, it turns out it hit a tree- evidence by a burnt tree along with live trees. Its real as how bad Justina Beaver sings. XDDDD
That is virtually impossible to record this.. Your camera would'nt survive such situation... All it's cirquit would burn caused by the static elektricity that you have nearby the thunder impact..
The camera was set up inside my house, on the sill of a window. I had it running to capture an intense lightning storm. The camera captured a few other strikes, but none as exciting as this one. Thanks for your comment.
why is it almost every video on youtube theres some kid saying its fake

fake

The video is NOT FAKE. All I did is slow it down, add titles, and music. The extra flashes are reflections within the lense.

Not fake man

Its not fake, Take any video camera any film a lightning bolt and you'll see what is called a stepped leader before and after the main bolt ;)

@Tito7510 G-C, C-G, G-G, Inter-C, C-C. Main types of lightning, though G-G is rare.
