I know this was a while ago but I love Settlers of Catan!! We have Seafarers of Catan too (an add-on) which is super fun!

Discussion topics are tricky without it turning into a flame war. It's really easy with all the ridiculous people on youtube to have these comments spiral out of control so just be wary of which topics you'll be picking if that's what you decided to do for season three.

Settlers of Catan is awesome! Have you tried Carcassonne? It's kind of similair but the game is played by placing down both the tiles and the pieces. It does however take more time and it's a bit more challenging.
