  • You have 3 legends up on stage but video quality is so bad. But better than nothing!

  • Comment removed

  • What's the title of this song ?

  • TheArtOfTheComment said it all. Ditto, man! *__* This thing ROCKS!

  • Nice to see Liberty and Max banging away together.

  • correction- i agree about paul simon being an amzing lyracist, but they are all legends and Billy , if you have seen him lately, still sings through the entire show and blows you away every time. the only problem is the people at the concerts who want you to sit down. Who the hell goes to a concert to sit down? lol- thanks for the post

  • cool Paul Simon top of his game around this time "Graceland"

  • billy joel got more applaud than paul simon in 1987, but after 22 years, things have completely changed. simon>springsteen>joel

  • Springsteen-simon-Joel

  • i think springsteen and joel are equal and paul simon is just a frikin legend. you cant really compare them itd be like picking a favorite child and they all get straight a's in school

  • where did this take place? exact date too?

  • Nice post!

It's POSSIBLE it could be a benefit show from Just a guess, I think this is Dec 12, 1987, Benefit show called "NY Childrens Health Project Benefit" Madison Sq. Garden.

All 3 were played at this show. Google the setlist, one of the track listing is "Bruce Springsteen brings out Paul Shaffer, Billy Joel, Paul Simon " - 'Glory Days' is the very next track.

  • @scrapplecheesesteak

You're right--it IS that benefit--I know because was onstage as a dancer.

I wish I had a full copy of this!!!

Never even seen it before, although I know it was on MTV at the time...

I was in the finale number with Grandmaster Flash,Chaka Khan,Springsteen,

    Whoopi Goldberg,Paul Simon,Nile Rogers,Ruben Blades,lotsa folks...pretty cool!

I think we were all onstage for the Bob Seger song "Rock & Roll Never Forgets."

But I don't think Seger was there.

  • @tiablanton1

Debbie Harry was there,too--and she was kinda mean to me backstage & I was so upset...

I had forgotten all about that!

Do you have any more of this show?

  • I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw this vid was up. I used to describe Billy Joel as "The sound of Chris De Burgh pretending to be Bruce Springsteen". I'll have to eat my words now.

  • Love Billy Joel and Paul Simon!

    xxxxxx

  • I can't understand how people don't love Billy Joel. If Bruce, the greatest of all time (Paul Simon is very talented, too) loves him, than you have no right to say anything about. Especiall today, with everything so weak.

  • SO true!

  • Not everyone has the same taste.

  • I like how when Bruce says "c'mon out Paul" there is a buzz in the crowd and then when he says "c'mon out Billy Joel" there is a roar!!!

  • it's only because bruce and billy share the same kind of cheesy crowd

  • people quit saying NOT about 15 years ago. If you dont like it turn it off

  • Why is life not like this every day?

  • awesome, thanks for sharing

  • I had to favorite this in spite of the poor audio/video quality because it contains a collaboration between three of my favorite songwriters. Amazing. My head would have exploded if I had been there in person.

  • PAUL SIMON: _the_best_of_ever_

  • You are correct!

  • one james taylor away from the american beatles....

  • i agree!

  • you said it!

  • @jedipapaw damn dude SO true, although i might have to replace BIlly with David Crosby but good call.

  • @jedipapaw or throw in a tom petty

  • Cool.

  • sickkk trioo

    love you bruce
