heres some advice for anyone who wants to have pet ducks:normally if you want them to feel safe get a bunch it doesnt matter what kind they are or how old they arethe fact is ducks just like to have other ducks around themand it means they will be WAY less likely to die of cold cause they huddle together

Adorable! We ordered a set of 4 Pekin (1 drake, 3 hens) ducklings...they're 47 days old today. FULL grown! Wow! We lost 1 of the girls only a couple days after they arrived. The other 3 are thriving! I'm ordering 2 or 3 Indian Runner duckling's in the spring I've had so much fun with my babies! I also have about 50 chickens, 6 German Shorthaired Pointers, 1 very patient & amazing husband & 1 teenage son. Oh! And McMurray Hatchery rocks!! Order away - I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!

Ilike how they respond to your voice lol! I am going to have 16 ducklings arrive on the 8th-11th im really excited! I ordered 14 Mallards and 2 pekins for the fun of it :) I already have one here at home but he'll get som buddies soon! wow, 17 ducks..ima be very busy lol..btw where did you get yours? and if you buy them as day-old-ducklings do they still imprint on you/ think you're their mommy in a way? nice vid..i hope mcmurray hatchery sends me healthy chicks.i would be sad if any died :(

@ciciironwill27 17 ducks! That's a lot! The ducks get very attached, a lot more so than chickens, but I don't think they think I'm their parent or anything. I bought mine at the local feed store, I've never bought any directly from the hatchery. Good luck.

@ciciironwill27 dont worry, if you has a good backyard, a small pool so they can swim and a lot of food for them your going to enjoy them alot, just with watching them you can relax after a hard day of work, it is scientifically proved :)

holey cow that pekin is one HUGE baby...very cute! I love the spectators at the side too. It's funny how the dogs/cats play 2nd fiddle for a while when 2 cute baby ducks steal the spotlight for a while.

Depending on where you live. Where I live, you can have one, but it *has* to stay outside && you have to have a farmer's license. I'll admit, I'll get a farmer's license to keep my duck, but she's *not* going to be an outside duck. She's already had way too much human contact && she gets super loud when I leave her sight.
