The AR Toolkit is an open source program. Look for it at Sourceforge, or run a search for it. I've never tried to do an animation using it, though.

Yes indeed! But ARToolkit is a technology developed at MIT and availiable free to the public for non-comercial use. Search wikipedia if you are interested! ^^ I will tottally develop something with it in the next months for my Game College! ^^

ARToolKit is U.S. technology. In this case, japanese people are using U.S. technology for render in realtime.

yea, if i remember right, ARToolKit was made in washington state, at the university of washinton, or its maintained there now, i'm not sure. Its definitely not japanese tech.

Its a pad that you have to have special glass's or a lens to see the projection. I BELIEVE.

He's capturing video of his desk via webcam and overlaying her on top with tracking software. You can't see her with your eyes - you need augmented reality glasses or you have to look at a monitor.

He made this program based off the ARToolkit SDK. The toolkit is open source but he made the Hatsune Miku model.
