The usual reggae-heads were there talking their obsessive stuff, and this guy says, "you gotta check Fu Manchu by Desmond Dekker, its a seriously heavy tune..." so I came and checked it out right here... and its a killer tune... Well, "The Face of Fu Manchu" is probably a reference to a film that came out in '65 (not sure when the song originally came out) but the Fu Manchu character was well known long before that. He's the prototypical super villain who wants to take over the world. Or rather wants to help China take over the world. The concept and execution (in moves and books) of the character is terribly racist. But anyway yeah it's not a huge stretch to see him as a symbol of dividing by wealth and wealth/class.
