  • Thank you for preserving and sharing this performance so others can hear and experience the playing of Mr. Jimmy Day!

  • Jimmy Day is my grandpa :)

  • @ErinDay2 Kewl. I am glad you found this video.

  • Wow, amazing, awesome, it just cant get any better.

  • I think we all are missing Jimmy Day & Bobby Caldwell ....

    Adair Torres

  • Bobby Caldwell should be inducted in to the Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame for services to steel guitar players.

  • 100% in tune with you Awnok. All the films I've seen of the convention and Bobby Caldwell is a master guitar player. A mix of Jim Hall, Lenny Breau, Ed Bickert, Wes and Chet...man he had it all. Also Roy Rosetta should be recognized as a master.

  • great stuff ,but what is the day set up on the pedals

  • Reverse position of the Emmons setup

  • The Day Setup typically places the A, B, & C pedals in the order of CBA (from left to right).

Emmons placed these pedals in the order ABC (from left to right).

  • what do they mean when they say "the day setup" just how did he set set his pedals up

  • Thank God for Bill Furgason for videoing all these classic shows for pedal steel. I just saw Rosetta on keyboards last week in Arizona. God bless him too, for doing all these shows. Wonderful people, wonderful musicians, wonderful to see the old videos. Marc Trainor.

  • Bill As usual you have made me a very happy person. I never thought I would get to actually see Jimmy Day or any of the other of my Pedal Steel heroes play live. You have single handily pushed the Pedal Steel to the forefront of the Guitar world. Once again thanks for all your effort. It is very much appreciated.

  • Bill, Goose bump factor 10. 'nuff said.

It is amazing how these, our favorite players who have passed on, come alive again. This is through your efforts, Bill, and I wish to thank you for your great work.

    sincerely

    Bent

  • Jimmy was my hero. There was nobody on the planet that played with as much soul as he did.
