  • I apologize if people feel I'm ruining the song by saying this, but this is like an abridged version. The real thing is 25 minutes long. They skipped over parts at 3:09, 4:32, a huge chunk after 6:36 and of course they cut it 5 min to the end. If you get a chance, listen to the full version!(if you have this comment does not apply to you)

    Thats the story :)

  • The story is about ancient china where a rich girl goes to school (at that time only boys could go to school) so her rich father dresses her up as a boy and she goes to school. While in school one day she meets a really handsome and nice, but poor, boy. She wants to marry him, but her father won't let her because he's poor. Then, her father makes her get married to this snobby mean rich boy, and the nice poor boy dies of sadness. On the wedding day the girl goes by his grave... (see part 2)

  • truly breathtaking....

  • This movie is So good.

  • I think it would have been more romantic and elegant if they have used Chinese music instruments.

You know what, nowadays, Chinese people adore Western stuff too much.

  • Butterfly Lovers symphony has been done by many violinists but non has performed it as well as Lu Si Quig. I get tears in my eyes each time I hear him play. Maybe it's because he does it with such passion.

  • @siaripop7 Simply because he put feeling in it... It is hauntingly beautiful!

  • @siaripop7

  • This is soooooo good!!! It reminded me of the butterfly lovers...how great their love was for each other!!! It brought tears to my eyes!!!

  • His play is with such emotion and characteristics that capture all my attention. At 5:13 is the most much feeling. I closed my eyes and felt the intense love between the two lovers.

  • thank you for posting this. it is so well played, brought tears to my eyes. it reminded me of the beautiful love story about Liang Shan Bo and Zhu Ying Tai I read when I was little.

  • Both the violinist & the conductor were in sync with one another. Lu Si-qing played with feeling and he poured every ounce of emotion into the music... Yes I cried too... Couldn't help it and am glad it was played outside China. I still think this master piece is lack of recognition by the Western societies!!!
