Varroa mites are a pest that attach themselves to the bees.

By coating the bees with powdered sugar, it causes varroa mites to lose their grip and fall off.

NO other treatment as of yet. My goal is to use survivor stock and breeding cycles (splits) to deal with mites.

We'll see how that works.

I am going to build a screen today. Great idea & looks like an old shoe brush or scrub brush will work. Do you ever use any other medicine at the same time? (Terramycin?)
