This is a very nice layout, however, I think we all make the mistake of laying the track to close to the edge of the table. It always bothers me that there is this nice center part of the layout, but the train is right on the edge, and to the opposite side of the train is nothing. This has always bothered me. I'm going to do something about it. I'm going to build a smaller track route, but it will be better because there will be scenery on both sides of the train.
All up cost was about $200-$250, the bulk of that was track. I deliberately tried to keep cost down by using second hand buildings and even some of the foam I used was from packaging material I found in garbage.
@StuartRedman1 snap track is easier for tight curves, then I use flex for the straights and gentle curves. Ballasting is no problem on either track, just spread out your ballast so it looks good then drop on white glue & water mixed with some detergent. Let it dry for about 24 hours and re-apply if it's too soft with a stronger glue mix.
NICE LAYOUT GREAT JOB!!!

Woodland Scenics foam inclines, I think I used 2% or 3% grade, or a combination of both.

By the way how should I elevate it like your turn before the Uncovered black bridge?

how do you keep the peco track on because there is no holes for spikes

Glue - I think it was liquid nails. You don't need to apply much of it.

@pnhkrh555 so do you recomend snap track? is it easy to ballast without the road bed?
