This is to all of you argueing who is better: the 1st, or the 4th.

The 1st did infact beat Madara is his "prime" (I say this in quotes, assuming that he will reach an even higher state of power before the series ends), and Minato did infact say he alone could not defeat him.

They both had their own amazing abilities, as well as the other Hokages and Temp/Candidate Hokages, and since they will never face each other, argueing about who's better is utter nonsense. :)
