Crazy yes, but I rescued an irish setter heading to a kill shelter. I sing this song to him daily, with your video and it soothes the average beast. It's been instrumental. I searched many to find a soothing background (and hey I'm not a vocalist) but my Bailey loves it and he is now in a forever home. Thanks, I wandered onto some music to accompany me while I made this big red boy a keeper. Much love.

Thanks so much! Yes, Earl's solo albums are also my favorites from his work. His latest solo album, which I forget the title of right now, has the best solo guitar mix I've heard from him. The bottom is rich and the top is bright but never thin.

Very much appriciated comment. Yes - this was learned by ear, which is how I learn almost all of music I choose to learn. While I can read music, I find using my ears to be much more satisfying and (because I do it all the time) extremely easy. Someone once told me that guitarists are notorious for not liking to read music...for better or for worse, I am one of them :)

Funny enough that was the second song I learned on the guitar - well I learned it all right, but executing it cleanly with even decent feel was too much to ask for origionally. It was only after learning a lot of other things on the guitar that I choose to come back to this piece and learn it again. Sorry for the delay in responding.

Sorry steelydan for not responding sooner. I finally found Earl Klugh's version of "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead".  It definitely sounds like something that I could ear out on the guitar. Because I'm currently learning new material for a wedding I'll be performing at, I have to stick to only that material and not introduce too much else. After the wedding, however, it will be more likely that I will have the time to learn this one. Thanks for getting me interested!

Awesome skill!!! I have not been playing guitar for a while since I have a child. My best moment was meeting Stefan Grossman in BBC Shepperd Bush London doing a recording of ragtime guitar music. I was one of the guitarist among seven others. Being a Chinese and playing ragtime guitar music was abit odd but Stefan help to put me at ease. I have some guitar tabs from Stefan which includes Scott Joplin's and Blind Blake numbers. You can have them if you are interested. Cheers!

It sounds like are a dedicated father - which is probably harder than being a dedicated guitarist. You can't just put "him/her" down when you get tired.
