  • where is the pete at now

  • i fart and you're walkin! XD

  • that doesn't sound like a cat it sounds like a 2 stroke detroit 6-71

  • @JohnDeere30201 It kind of has that 6-71 sound at high RPM but there is no way that little 7 liter detroit could push a rig up a hill like that. Detroits have a hard enough time pulling their own weight without worrying about pushing another truck!

  • @DTOMUSA74 ikr no wonder nobody lies terex equipment there're detroit powered :p

  • never even heard of this movie...gonna download it now...have a shot of Patrone and a beer, a few smokes and love my monitor...

  • :09 to :20 is like music:)

  • One person "didn't gear down and brake just right."

  • no entiendo nada esta en ingles

  • ATF Agent: "Tennessee Highway Patrol has EYEWITNESS accounts of 4 tractor-trailers, slamming the HELL out of each other down 7 miles of interstate!! Now 3 of those trucks are DESTROYED and their drivers are DEAD and we cannot keep pulling state cops off of this every time they want to play bumper cars!!!"

  • i got your game sucker!

  • got that shit right an t nothin like cat

  • Comment removed

  • sacreaming cat hell ya

  • It was an ATF agent who said that agent Maclaren

  • @Conway1247 My mistake. I was typing it from memory (and it might be wrong too as I don't have the film itself to find out)

  • Is this film actually uploaded in full the links i find are nothing more than fake ..

Highly annoying to say at least

  • I forgot about this movie. At 36 the kid in me took over. Kinda like.smokey and the bandit... just can't he'll but live good bad movies. Haha

  • Is that a silver 92 in there?

  • this movie taught me all about values about what a man would do for his family and a great movie to have trucks play a great role in the movies too bad nowadays you couldnt get a decent truck movie cause of all hollywood is GAY

  • everyone knows that Peterbilts are the best trucks out there nothing runs as good as a peterbilt. it doesnt mater if both trucks have identical motors and transmissios and everything that peterbilt logo makes'em sound ten times better

  • @MrBrockberg Mack, and Kenworth are better, and as far as transmissions goes Peterbilt (or any truck company for that matter) don't make their own the best transmission is Eaton. Peterbilt has been riding their name for years (source experience as a truck mechanic)

  • @VFA103JollyRogers they dont make their own motors or transmissions your correct . i never said they did but if you did a majority vote alot of ppl would say peterbilt and hey nothing wrongs with mack

  • @Randythetrucker no not air pressure he burned out his Drum brakes, and as for his trailer disconnecting there is no real world explanation besides hollywood special affects

  • but lack jaw is so strong to hold the trailer?

  • can somebody answer ma question. why the red truck trailer detach when jack push it???

  • ''Ain't Nothin' Like A Caterpillar Engine!!''

  • @assfault9 like hell, Patricks truck obviously has a Detroit.

  • A cat at close to 2100 sounds like that

  • @76M880 too bad it a detroit

  • and the reason why he was asked to do this load was because the bank was forclosing on their house O.o

  • hey. Jack Cruz wasnt an excon, O.o he just has a man Slaughter Charge from a wreck he didnt con anyone

  • can u plz put the whole black dog movie on youtube??

  • Chuck Norris Prayed to Patrick Swayze :)

  • 1:32~5:39 wtat BGM????

  • too many mistakes to list. but I still love the movie !!

  • u wuz there a house in the middle of the road any ways???

  • @247cartheft - It's called moving a mobile home...

  • There aint NOTHIN like a Caterpillar engine...amen to that!!!

  • Road war.......This is pure entertaining :)

  • Comment removed

  • My fav line out of the whole movie Bump "What was that" Swayze "Mazda"

  • 1. in a time like that dont ride your brakes dum ass 2. go faster then trun to the othere side and then slow down

  • 3406D cat Peterbilts tach em up M359/379 ride in a large car

  • @nf471964 cool

  • i own the truck out of the movie, and yes it as a cat in it.

and the sound is mix in after the movie is shot. but i can tell you that the mufflers on the pete do make it sound like it as a 892 in it. only at high revs, at low revs she could sneak up on you and all you can hear is the turbo winding down.

    i allso own two 892 jimmys,one in a kenworth with a 9 speed,in it, and its 475 hp

and it as plenty of torque. they are a good motor, this little kenny made me the money to buy black dog.

  • @realtrucker379 so it doesnt sound like in the movie? i thought so ive never heard a cat sound like that

  • i cant believe Rusty DeWees was in this!

  • @dragster2065 So true Detroit leaks like a sieve, and the other is Cummapart.

  • i use to watch this movie with my dad

  • Hey he wasn't an x con he was a x truck driver.

  • can someone please tell me why there was white smoke coming from them stacks at the beganinng?

  • @MiddleMadMen cuz the truck was cold and the fuel mix was a little higher than it sould be they all do that

  • i wish i could see the whole movie :(

  • It's Caterpillar Horsepower (at 2:27-3:30) but it sounds like a Detroit

  • The music used for this car chase is what.

  • love pete 379s

  • "I shouldn't drink apple juice, it gives me gas."

"Listen to me. One fart and you're walking"

  • this sounds like a detroit engine not a cat it has the 2 stroke sound when it revs up

  • @nf471964

no 1 viewer is a faggot with no life

  • This isnt a Cat! A cat wouldn't blow white smoke out like that, this a 8v92 detroit!

  • From the sound of it , it has 8v92 detroit in it instead of a 425 cat !

  • "Aint nothing like a Catapiler is it" :) Nothing better then a 425-475Hp Single Turbo 3406 Cat :)

  • pete for the win and was patrick a trucker in real life

  • 5:20 my fav lol toastt babyyy lol

  • sweet movie RIP

  • good movie except when they disconnect airline hoses an the trailer keeps rolling that funny

  • This movie has so many things wrong with it but somehow yet it is still a good movie like the truck hitting the mobile home wouldn't make it fly up in the air that high

  • My granddad had a D6 CAT dozer he used onj the farm about a '53 model. Had oil pumps at both ends of the motor. This is why. And part of the reason why they last.

  • engine sounds like a detroit

  • @dubcloc1993 The engine sound was a Detroit, 6V92 to be exact

  • a pete pushed that little fucking thing up the hill, that tell you the truth about petes?

  • I love this movie despite it's inaccuracies! I was hauling horses across the country with my Ford F-350, and my assistant (He didn't drive, just helped with the horses and stayed awake if I slept) was sleeping in the back seat, and the guy ahead of me was hauling a load of trash cans and one fell out and I ran it over, my buddy woke up and asked "What was that?!?!?!" I couldn't resist... "Mazda." We laughed our asses off!

  • @anagonmir Good one. ;)

  • Great movie, but notice at the final crash... no engine in the truck... I guess it was taken out to make the truck lighter and easy to flip, but its really noticable.

  • @igotbored44 and it has a roll cage in it

  • *BUMP*

    "What was that?"

    "A Mazda"

One of the best lines from that movie XD . Reminds me of how you punt cars around in that King of Route 66 game for the PS2.

  • It doesn't really sounds like a CAT in my opinion...

  • @daltonauto It's redubbed with 6v92ta detroit. but, these trucks are with CAT 3406E 425HP when filmed.

  • @4NZZZ454CATEngine

the truck was a 1994 Peterbilt 379 with a 3406B 425HP Cat, 9 Speed equiped with a jake break, I have a buddy that owns this truck down in australia

  • i remember i used to love this movie when i was younger..i used to watch it ALL the time

    R.I.P Patrick Swayze....cancer's a cocksucker

  • i love the soundtrack in this part!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah they're running detroits i think i'm not very sure can anyone tell me what they run now

  • I love Black Dog, But I found to many flaws to this movie, so it is not as enjoyable any more, I found four flaws with this scene, should have had a better director, or at least special effects. But it is still a great movie.

  • @sqrlmskr Trucker movies are becoming extinct...enjoy them while you can.

  • Aint nothing like a Maxxforce 15 engine (Caterpillar is no longer making highway engines and joined Navistar/Maxxforce and together they made a new 15 liter engine.

  • Meet Patrick Swayze and Rick Aviles, years ago when they were filming "Ghost" in Brooklyn. Bothe of these men were perfect gentleman. They spent over an hour talking to a group of high school kids(me and others) and really just down to earth nice guys. To both of these men RIP

  • not an ex-con he went to jail for man slaughter after killing someone cuz of the black dog

  • "Ain't nuthin' like a Caterpillar engine."

Damn right! My old man ran a Cat diesel in his K-Wopper Cab over. That rig could scream.

  • Slooter you need to go rent and watch the entire movie. When Swayze agrees to take the load he does a walk around on the black Pete. He asks junior what it's got for power. Junior says "3406 Cat Eaton Fuller nine speed, good tires new brakes". The last 2 stroke Detroits were built around 1988. The highest HP was the 8V92T twin turbo 440 Horse. This truck is newer than that. It's a Detroit soundtrack just dubbed in.

  • Two things in life you don't fuck with: Peterbilts, and Patrick Swayze.

  • @Hotrodx199 amen

  • @Hotrodx199 petes are cool

  • @Hotrodx199 - Especially a Peterbilt driven by Patrick Swayze.... XD

  • @Mysterio2276 Man, you do that and you'll be lucky to get away. LOL

  • Listen to that 12v71 redubb over the 3406 cat.

  • He aint an ex con he was a trucker who went to jail for Vehicular Man slaughter. Caused by the black dog.

  • Without swayze this movie wouldn't be any good

  • Is it me or did he just go backo in to 1 or 6 gear.

  • this was a good truck movie I wish they would make more movies like this today.

  • @TheSuperCRASHer If they did no doubt they'd load it down with CGI scenes and have trucks flying hundreds of feet through the air and other shitty, unrealistic stuff like that. That's the nice thing about this movie and others like Convoy and Duel, all of it is real.

  • "whatch out!" "smash!" and the car is in the ditch. well.. i just wonder of how much money they spent in making this video...? but it's AWSOME :D

  • 0.54 what was that?? a monster or mazda LOL

  • @GABU1245TheWolf i think it was a mazda

  • @dragoonslight LOL a car getting ram over by a truck lol

  • @GABU1245TheWolf for some reason it sounds like fun

  • the truck engine sound you hear is not a 4 stroke cat diesel

    its a silver 92

    or detroit diesel 8 v 92

    listen very carful

the cat engine has a lower torque curve than the detroit diesel in terms or engine speed or rpm

  • the truck engine sound you hear is not a 4 stroke cat diesel

    its a silver 92

    or detroit diesel 8 v 92

    listen very carful

the cat engine has a lower torque curve than the detroit diesel in terms or engine speed or rpm

  • peterbilts kick ass cat engines dont ya need a cummins

  • Peterbilts are BADASS!!!

  • Peterbilts look intimidator!

  • 3406 Cats rule the nation.

  • @trailerkingpin thats not a cat in patrics truck, its a detroit!

  • @trailerkingpin aint nothing like a Caterpillar is there

  • @trailerkingpin Damn Right! the last good motor cat made!

  • @trailerkingpin I'd thought up a design for a show truck/movie truck, but i can't decide if i want the 3406B Cat engine or the 8V71 Detroit. Either a Peterbilt or Western Star truck; both sound good to me. Got any advice?

  • @Fireheart528 Combine the 2 engines and add parts from a Cummins, use the frame of a KW, the body of a Peterbilt 379, the rears of a Mack, and the fronts of a Western Star

  • @LongHoodKW Well, that's gonna be a good project. One thing's for sure--I ain't gonna sell that one! What do you mean by combining the 8V71 Detroit and the 3406B Cat motor, though? And if I'm reading right, I should use the rear suspension and wheels of a Mack, the front suspension, steering assembly, and the hood of a Western Star, right? I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to building custom trucks.

  • @Fireheart528 Yup, and have parts from a Cummins engine, the hood and cab of a Peterbilt, frame of a KW and the steering assembly of a Western Star

  • @LongHoodKW It'll be interesting to see it start up when is done. What parts do i combine from the 3406B and the 8V71, though? Do you mean like the engine block itself?

  • @Fireheart528 Use the engine block of the Cat, pistons and oil filters of the Detroit, and belts and etc. from the Cummins

  • @trailerkingpin Thats no 3406

  • Did they pour a gallon of bleach down each one of the stacks? Sound effects are from a pre series 60 Detroit but the horsepower is all 3406 CAT. Detroits all RPM no torque which is why they got 15 forward speeds not just 9. Good thing he topped the hill before the cat ran out of steam. Junior has some nice teeth. It's sort of Smokey and the Bandit meets Deliverance.

  • i got the dvd this is the best movie ever

  • my favourite part of movie

  • but know you say it it really dont sound like a cat more like a 2 stroke diesel

  • how do you know its 12v71

  • Oh wow a 12v71 in a 1993 Peterbilt 379 haha nice effects.

  • @Hotrodx199

the truck in black dog was a 1994 Peterbilt 379, I know who owns the surviving truck down in australia they were 4 trucks and they were all cat powered & were all 1994 Peterbilt 379's, Truck #4 was the only one to survive the movie

  • @realtrucker379

how much would you ever consider selling it for?

this movie got me into trucks and this 379 has always been my favorite truck, and i would someday love to be the proud owner of this truck.

  • can someone tell me if it is hard to learn how to shift these trucks well to learn

  • @454sskilla Normal 18 speed not really, Super 10 (10 speed) it's harder then hell

  • @454sskilla

If you learn how to double clutch a manual transmission, you can shift a truck.

  • A great movie, but when Jack say ' there's nothing like a caterpillar ' at 2:52, I think it make no sense, cause at 0:10, engine sounds like a detroit to my ears. Anyways....who cares lol

  • i agree. that truck sounds like its got a damn 2 stroke detroit bus engine in it to me.

  • Yea, they did. But if this peterbilt really has a Detroit diesel in it. It probably will be a 60 series detroit.

  • i cant find this movie no where. if i search for it some other BS pops up.

    anyone know a site?

  • um WTh with the trailer in the road i love this Movie BTW ooo use to go crazy for that wreck at the end as a kid of 5 15 and still inlove with the movei

  • 3 words love this movie

  • You know at the end whn the truck explodes it wouldn't happen because Diesel doesn't exlpode it will burn but not blow.

  • slight error: as junior crashes in the partol pumps you can see the tanker being away enough to drive not into it. but he does...

    other than that great movie

  • nobody cares

  • guess why?

  • now i have this movie and if you listen closely after he put the engine brake on when jr is about to ram him again sounds like he ripped when he went to shift.lol

  • i like these seen

  • LOL *bump*

    What was that?

    A Mazda.

  • what is the name of the song at 3.22?

  • . some of you know in which city is the port last scene movie?

  • Wilmington, NC

  • Se ha ido un gran actor. Descanse en paz..

  • R.I.P. Patrick. The last real Movie trucker.

  • besides Rubber Duck of course

  • @sennahj First Fonda, now Swayze . . . if we lose Kris Kristofferson, we're all outta decent Movie Truckers.

  • This is one of the best parts of one of my all time favorite movies. My dad's a truck driver, I've been watching this movie practically my whole life it seems. Rest in peace Patrick Swayze!

  • me too

  • RIP Swayze

  • great movie

  • awesome movie, thanks for sharing this clip

  • i like that jake brake at 4:20

  • its sound s more like a detroit diesel

  • i didnt know thanks for telling me

  • wait, to set it straight: is it a detroit or a cat, cuz a lot of ppl are saying both.....when comparing sounds on youtube it almost sounds like a cummins

  • The truck used in the movie is actually Cat powered the sound dubbing is that from a detroit

  • That's because it is

  • ha then they lied in the movie cuz remember they said it was cat

  • aint nothing like a caterpiller engine

  • o no ur rite it is a CAT engine lol

but i was just saying it sounds like one
