j'ai eu l'occasion à plusieurs reprises de le voir et l'écouter et quelque soit le rôle (sa panoplie était large) il a toujours et longtemps assuré.

I prefer Bizet's original French than in Italian but that aside,this melody is so beautiful and haunting,it really doesn't matter.This is a wonderful rendition by Kraus. He had a marvellous,light lyric tenor voice.Also a sweet,warm timbre and great technique. Bravissimo Alfredo! Che bella voce.
