  • Wow that was exciting to watch, must have been a rush when you took the lead. I've experienced a supercharged sud engine (mid mounted in a fiat 500), the performance was awesome and that was just a 1.5ti unit. Respect!

  • Hello Tim , Martin Sifredi form the AROCA (Alfa Romeo Car Club of Australia) I own 2 Alfa 33 Boxer 16V's . one for shows and one for track. I would love to see more pictures / videos of your brilliant sud. great driving

  • Miss my red low Alfa Sprint :)

  • loved it!

  • Evil Sprint :D

  • gamise...

  • sensational, throw a vid up of a walk around of the car, would love to see it.

  • unbelievable!

  • Wow. I was there on the pit wall, couldn't believe it, the drift coming out of bridge on the first lap is fantastic. Shame the GT700R doesn't go round corners like it it fgoes on the straights. Top driving!

  • @99hjhm Couldn't agree more. Lovely looking and definately sounds the muts but all a waste if it can't go round corners. I believe Santa Pod caters for this??!!

  • this is by far the most amazing boxer engined video I have ever seen. I would love to hear that on a good microphone.

  • Fantastic car and a good driver.

  • Really nice driving. Watching this video i could see that in the corners your Alfa was much better. or maybe your just better driver than bloke in Aston :D

  • Does this car have an Alfa based boxer engine and gearbox (no Subaru or whatever), in that case, unbelieveable!

  • It certainly does. The rules Don't permit that sort of modification. It's all very seriously modified alfa parts all mounted in the origional positions.

  • @bert308gts Y is it unbelievable do u think that a subaru boxer engine is better than an alfa engine??

  • @ClovertechLTD I don´t think either one is better, I love the 16 valve with Dell´ortos in my Sud, but originally it was designed for 1500 cc maximum capacity and about 100 hp while the Subaru in standard form is 2.0 or even 2.5 with 300 hp easy obtainable. But it seems the Subaru engine is not without it´s problems too.

I hope the rumours become true about a new Porsche Boxer 4 cilinder that will be shared with VW and maybe even Alfa, would love to build a Sud around such engine!

  • @ClovertechLTD surely not!Alfa just stops produsing them!Alfa boxer for ever!!

  • @bert308gts Y is it unbelievable do you think that a subaru boxer engine is better than an alfa boxer engine??

  • Wel great sprint Tim and also very fast

    keep her wel

    greatings rogeralfa

  • Wow.. Watching this race from the pit wall, wondering how a Alfa Sprint can show a 700 BHP super car where to go.

    Amazing.

  • @hipwell4342 shame this car blew the engine shortly after though and i can assure you the gt700r soon took back over him when the video ended

  • @rapidmate Yep, Ellis won the race easily. I doubt he was pushing the car though when racing Tim.

1.40 and 3.10 shows the true power of the gt700r, unbelieveable acceleration.

  • @hipwell4342, is the alfa still up and running then? sounds brill, my uncle(ellis's mechanic) said you car was quick on that day it certainly looked it.

  • @rapidmate Yes I think the Alfa is still competing. They only had a gear linkage issue which stopped them, so didn't/doesn't sound terminal.

  • Tim, your car sounds angry, amazing machine and great drive! will have to see it at the next race I think.

  • Nice drive Tim! That looks like a terrifying and exhausting machine to drive!
