  • amo el video esta super bkn :)

    RINGO STARR MI AMOOOR <.3

  • I never knew this was ringo when it first come out, I was just 12, I thought it was some cool funny oddball rich english country dude for years.

  • Ringo always had that cool backbeat that always got ya dancing!!Even if you don`t like dancing!

  • Holy crap... I first saw this when it came out in 1981. Now I was too young to know who Ringo was or who the Beatles were, and I saw this once. I misremembered it as a country song for some reason and was more interested in the haunted house aspect of it. I've looked for it several times and finally found it now. Thanks for uploading it, but now I have so many more questions... like why is Ringo dressed like the Fonz?

  • Another one for my top 20 Ringo tracks 1970-2011!

  • ahh this song is so ringo, I just love his voice and his general angle on stuff

  • This is the worst song Ringo ever did. Shame George had anything to do with it. "Wrack My Brain" should be "Wreck" instead of wrack. It's a very poor song.

  • @ShermanJeep you should listen to the lyrics a bit better, they tell of Georges frustration with the changing music industry and how it was starting to package people to what they wanted more instead of what the artists actually were, thats why the Beatles rebelled in the mid sixtys and became what they wanted instead.

  • Listen to they lyrics. You'll hear George's anger and utter frustration at the music business and popuar culture of the late 1970's. ("Tried to do/My best for you....What I have, you don't want/What you want I can't give.....There's no way I can see/Of coming up with something you'd enjoy as much as TV....All the same/I'll play the game/Up and down old memory lane.......)

  • Great Song. Thanx, George!

  • 1:10 loved it !

  • RINGO RULES....

  • This song is awesome. I love Ringo.

  • Written and produced by Ringo's old bandmate, George Harrison. Hit #38 in the US (Billboard). How'd it do in the UK? God bless!

  • phantastic song, but lousy, terribly stupid arrangement -

there should be a little remake with a little more flow -

that "dam da ram tam tam "rhythm guitar, the bass and the polka drums are

    a pain to the ear!

they must have been completely high making this

  • @MoveOverCasanova : Actually, I think there is another version of this somewhere... I remember a totally different video... I remember Ringo dressed like a motorcycle cop, and the song had alot more guitar and a lot less production...

  • @DeepSouthWrestling1

the video you mean is "stop and smell the roses" o guess --

  • @MoveOverCasanova : You're right... but I swear I heard this song... I'm confused...

  • @DeepSouthWrestling1 It's called a "deja vu". This is what happens when you hear a great tune. You have the feeling you've heard it before when it wasn't so. I had the same feeling with a lot of Beatles songs. But with the years I've realized I was hearing them for the very first time, but you already know how they go before they finish. Try to listen "It's Only Love" or "Rain" and tell me if you don't get that feeling also.

  • Ringo's last top 40 hit, here in the states, Peaked at #38 in Billboard.

  • люкс!!!

  • Love this song. And The Beatles!

  • Great George Harrison song, wish I could find a bootleg of George doing it before he gave it to Ringo.

  • I've just noticed, bsktcse2009, that you don't understand a fuckin asshole of music and , this "crappy song" was written by George Harrison one of the best guitarist of all time!!!

  • Comment removed

  • wish it was in better quality. It's so washed out I can barely see anything...

Such was betamax video of the early eighties...

  • The video that inspired Thriller

  • lol all the MJ fans mark you down im an Mj fan and gave ya phumbs up

  • Or maybe it's the Ringoists, who think I am taking the piss, which of course, I am!!!

  • the jacket ringo is wearing looks like the jacket john had on in late 1980... weird

  • George Harrison write this song!!...

  • God, I love Ringo. <3

  • go fuck yourself you full of hate piece shit asshole. go fuck your dad as well.

    I love Ringo.

  • Harrison wrote it of course.

  • Loved this song as a kid, haven't heard it since the mid eighties. Liked the 'Ba-bumba,bumba,bum' tune.

The zombie in the straight jacket looks like Barbara Bach, the face and eyes give it away.

  • I used to love this song and it is still great!

  • i remember hearing this song once in 81 and liking it . it took me till the mid 80s to find it on vinyl in a second hand shop . i lost it with the introduction of cd so its nice to hear it again and see the video after 28 years again . ringo should indeed see this as one of the best songs hes recorded .

  • ONE of the BEST of good old ringo!!

  • this one reminds me of my CHEMISTRY class xP

    oy.... luv the tune aways

    Ringo (and GEORGE) rules!

    peace&luv everyone

  • Barbara Bach is one of the zombies, isnt she?

  • It's a shame, this is one of Ringo's better solo songs. Ringo and George (who wrote it) careers were tanking at the time. I wish Ringo would do this in concert with his ALL-Starr Band.

  • I have this on a Photojacket single and the Lp Stop and Smell the roses. I wonder if there is a Harrison Wrack My Brain demo floating around the world somewhere.

  • George Harrison wrote that song

  • Ive been looking for this song forever!

  • this video is awesome! Ringo Starr rules!!

  • This has got to be one of my favourite songs ever! Its such an upbeat and catchy song, I love it!

  • It is and back in 1981 people were saying (again) that the lyrics were too lite... What did they expect? George wrote it! It woulda been amazing to hear Ringo's STOP album start with John's "Nobody told me". Wow~!

  • Ringo should have sung more beatles songs...has a good voice

  • Wish artists today could come up with music like this.

  • RIP Garry you will be dearly missed, you are a legend and will live on in us all!

    "the day the music died"

    xXxXx

  • Thanks Ringo, you are great....we love you in soth America....AGUANTE RINGO !!!!vamos....

  • the vampire mon that was my great uncle garry spring.RIP

  • Yep, RIP Uncle Garry, legend xxxxxx

  • When asked why Barbara was wearing a straightjacket, Ringo replied:

"It was the only way to keep her still.

We took that home...what fun at night folks!".

  • sounds like The Killers sound, maybe he influenced them a little.

  • Ringo was about to sing some John Lennon songs for his Album "Stop and smell the roses" but due to John Lennon's Death he dosen't want to sing them as he can't get over John Lennon's Death.

All the John Lennon Songs that Ringo were to sing are these:

    Nobody told me

    Life Beings at 40

    Look for it on wikipedia.

  • John also suggested and arranged "Only You" for Ringo which became a big hit.

  • George wrote this song in frustration about Warner Brothers rejecting some of his tracks on the original version of his "Somewhere In England" album.

  • Let`s be honest the released version was still crap apart from All Those Years Ago

  • Question : Dracula -- Is that George?

  • naw

  • Dracula was played by Garry Spring who was an electrician working at Capital studios in Wandsworth, London where the video was shot. Garry Spring is recently deceased. RIP

  • LOL! some assholt thought Barbara was actually Michael Jackson. lolololol

  • why didn't they put all ringo's videos on his new best of cd w/ dvd ??? they included this song but didn't put on the video??!! never mind hey baby ,stop and smell the roses and others??

  • Ringo's last hit. written by George,as always. Paul and John always gave Ringo throwaway songs with no hit potential. George always took care of his friend Ringo, though.

  • God, he looks like Sonny Bono in this one.

  • Yes, that's Barbara ;-)

  • Question: The monster lady on the left at 2:23 -- is that Ringo's wife Barbara Bach?
