It is a common misconception (thanks to the mainstream media) that he wants to abolish social security / medicare and throw everyone on those programs on the streets. He will cut from overseas spending, cut the departments which truly do harm and no good, and with those savings, keep social security running until those who paid into it get it. Also, he will let the young people opt-out of the system.

Keith, in our community and beyond we have been involved in a urban street ministry that feeds, clothes, thousands. It helps provide jobs, living facilities, tents etc, etc, etc.... I'll take care of my own. That's what church, family, and friends are for. Who needs government assistance? You can't keep pissing on traditional American values and complain there isn't a social safety net left. Humanity DOES work best as a group, but government coercion is the worst way to make this happen. Have a family, a congregation of some sort, even friends. If you don't have any of these, your life is meaningless. There's a lot to be said for traditional values.

It is a common misconception (thanks to the mainstream media) that he wants to abolish social security / medicare and throw everyone on those programs on the streets. He will cut from overseas spending, cut the departments which truly do harm and no good, and with those savings, keep social security running until those who paid into it get it. Also, he will let the young people opt-out of the system.

Keith, in our community and beyond we have been involved in a urban street ministry that feeds, clothes, thousands. It helps provide jobs, living facilities, tents etc, etc, etc.... We have been doing this for over ten years all WITHOUT the help of the Government. If anything they have only gotten in our way. Who funds, facilitates and volunteers to serve? The very people that the left seems to so despise. Bible believing, God fearing Christians who do it out of love not obligation.

Since then it's a race to see how much downward pressure on wages can be done and how high the unemployment rate can be to this end legitimised of course by Right wing dogma that describes 6% unemployment as "full employment" and that anything lower than that will cause "accelerating inflation".
