Wonderful! I have been shown different ways to make a large knot and I never get the hang of it. The lady in this video made it easy and the close up really helped. Wish all vids were this easy to follow. Thanks and hope you make more!
OMG You are a lifesaver! I'm sewing buttons on a coat - this helps. Now I just need to find out how to tie off on my button once it's sewn. Thank you.
@debilee4 i never could really hear anything on the laptop. it's ok tho, just the visual was enough. thanks for this video. i struggled for hours trying to figure out how on earth to do the know right and couldn't get it... i watched this video and did it in 4 seconds!
Thanks a lot for this information- I am a man and need all the sewing help (and luck too) for the buttons that inevitably come off my cargo shorts, etc.
I'm just learning to sew and had no idea how to knot a needle. Thank you for such a great explanation and a good visual presentation. This was a lifesaver for me.
I've never been able to tie knots properly and they always failed. Since I'm going to be making a doll for my friend for Christmas this is going to be very helpful!
Finally a video that I could follow! Made it just fine with your guidance! Other videos skipped something or showed it in a way that I couldn't follow. Made a knot on the first try with your instructions!
OMG that was more simple then what i was doing and i really want to thank you cuz i am turning 17 outdoors man and i was repairing my duff bag and this wll help me quiet alot
Huge thumbs up from a 24 year old male that has ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what he is doing :D. I just did my first knot. Now on to sewing the button onto my shorts :). Thank you.
Thanks, this video is quite helpful. I don't sew alot, but I have a few uses that I've needed to do this, but couldn't cause I couldn't get a big enough knot. I would always just tie it like normal, and it always wound up super small, you could barely see the knot.
Ok soo... What do you do with the other end to keep it from falling off the needle, I am trying to sew a hole in my army uniform and this stuff is hard.
@MrRhetorikill I'm not sure what you mean, but hopefully can help. The other end is threaded through the eye of the needle. When you're sewing, you keep your hand on the top part of the thread that is through the needle so it doesn't come out. Does that help? My youngest son is in the Army, so I'm happy to help however I can!
Sometimes the littlest things become the biggest challenges :) Love your video so much that you are my You Tube video of the day on my Sewing Resource Guide website. Thanks so much for sharing, and happy sewing! Lily Abello
thanks , I asked my wife to sew up my favourite wool blanket and she said no ! Well she's as busy as I am so thats fair. I turned to you tube and your video and voila !!!!
you are wonderful! I was trying to follow written instructions for this and kept failing! You've changed my sewing life! ANd, I'm going to teach my girl scout troop this trick next week!
Oh my. I had no idea about this! Completely changed my life. Well, almost! :p
Also, it's 1 a.m. and I'm researching the most effient way to tie a knot. I feel like such a nerd...
