mine still stayed at using first method wtf

I did all that to the exact, I turned it off. Tested connection and had a Type 3. Then I turned it back on and had a Type 2, Type 2 being good. I went to MW3 and it said it was still Strict. Any help? I might ring bigpond and tell them to stop fucking me around.

@TechiProductions if you had a open NAT in mw2 go on mw2 and go back to mw3 and you should have a open NAT

my NAT will only go as low as NAT typr 2...

Nat Type 1 is Wired Most of the time

And Nat type 3 is Shit connection

@supafob8 Yes i did that to for a while but then method 2 worked for me. To get the ip that works got to google and type 'What is my ip' and it will say your ip then from there copy that ip in to run but put telnet in front of it eg . telnet 69.0.96
