  • Very cool. You guys built a dang good plastic glider there, very cool.

  • SUPER! XD

  • how long did it take to make that and what material is the glider

  • Hoi!

Kas te kusagilt internetist leidsite kaasehitajad, kes on kogemusi jaganud? Kas pole tekkind mõtet rakendada lohe jalgratta ette? Arvan, et tõmbaks üles küll.

  • yada yada yada yada yada yoo... Super!

  • I built something that looks very simular using PVC. Can't wait to fly it.

  • Nice! I am thinking about trying to make a homemade one to fly into the water...Does anyone have suggestions on how to do this without it being too expensive? I'm just a kid. :D

  • What materials did you use?

  • This is much better. Great job

  • cool zip line XD

  • a home made glider that works. bravo.

  • ...yep, any fluttering/flapping means that

many smallish sections of the wing are

stalling, meaning that they are not flying,

adding harmful drag, and cannot be

controlled. Stay very low, stay slow, stay

safe! Best to obtain a certified, tested

glider that has safety features and designs that the homemade models

    lack.

  • ya nodought well ya know if ya stick to calm days so you dont getunexpeted lift, stay on small training hill and be happy with foot dragger flights youll have fun BUTdont go any higher then you want to fall from,it looks like you already have a lot of speed.

you could buy an old proven glider like that for 200 bucks to play with....if you get serious please get some lessons.

  • battens run from the leading edge to trailing edge as anti flutter protection...did ya hear that flutter, thats the sound of ipending death.

next comes uncontrolable dive and osilation.

lufflines are anti dive device from king post to rear of battons.

just spent a little more and buy a glider that wount kill ya ok .PLEASE.

  • We got plenty of out-of-control action of of the glider. Mostly it was impossible to turn when it started veering to the side and responsiveness was low all-round...

  • fly a real glider i pist a video of me landing mine

  • Awesome! But beware the accident, if the plastic breaks while in flight. This is truely the dream of flight coming true! Congrats !!! ;-)

  • what are battens and luff lines

  • Comment removed

  • very nice! back in the '80s i used to have a bamboo and canvas homebrew glider like that one. (some douchebag stole it, however) i want to get another one.

  • from which material that hangglider has been done???

  • that looks like fun - I would have tried to make one when I was a kid if I'd seen that.

  • Excellent - well done guys

  • have you got other film ? It's excellent. Please make another with a longer distance flight. For some time I'am working to make the same thing.

  • 这么小一个坡,轻易起飞,达到这么大滑翔距离,牛!

  • wat did you made it of it realy fly!

  • wow, thats great! must be lots of fun gliding!

  • wow! i'de been planning on doing something like this for a few years now, now i have the motivation to actually do it!!! good job!!!!!

  • please I made a steam engine and now I want to make a glider like this i would apreciate if u msg. me some dimensions and materials or a plan of some sort.

  • do you guys have a website with your plans for this? also how are you strapped into the glider? this is amazing by the way

  • That's really really cool mate!

  • tenx for answer! do you have any plans for this hang glider, because i want to build one? or where are you looking pictures for this one

  • which material do you used for the sail? where did you get it?

  • and for what is this material used. where can i get it? sorry for my english i am from slovenia

  • The sail in this video is a transparent plastic used for covering greenhouses. Get it from you local gardening supply, hardware store...

  • This looks like a classic 90 degree rogallo. I had several plans for these back in the 70's... now long lost...

Is the plan for this available somewhere?

  • If you ever find the plans for these please let me know. I have been searching for the same thing with no avail :-(. Ill let you know if I come across it.

  • Yeah, I know the feeling. I had Whitney Wing plans that look exactly like this, along with Batso and the Seagull plans. Where they ended up over the years is beyond me, LOL!

However, as an alternative, A Wills Wing Falcon, on the used market might be very affordable, parts should be available, and the performance based on Glide Ratio is easily 50% better (6:1 or so vrs. 4:1).

Ironically enough, the SNA Airport in Orange County they have a Bamboo Bomber and A Falcon hanging from the ceiling!
