I read up a little bit about this story when i first heard about it. And i think that for you to say placing a christian cross on or near a pagan worship area is not a hate crime i don't know what is. To me that is one of the most disrespectful things you can possibly do to anyone. I don't really think that you would say i was just exercising my right to free speech if i placed a pentacle/pentagram (pagan religious symbol) on the front door of your church.
