Hey! Nice shots, I've also purchased this camera and I have a question about shooting videos. I need to shoot a video but I want to avoid the camera from auto focusing, because with it deos it it blurs the image in some frames, i tried to desactivate this but I couldn't do it, do you know what do I have to do?

Hello, I've also purchased this camera and very happy I have it. Video was the main criteria why I've selected SX20is.

After playing with video editor I've discovered that I cennot save final video unless the full re-coding of video is executed. Only VirtualDup merged several clips in one without re-coding.

May I ask you if you've managed to find a way how to create clips and to not loose quality (re-code video)?

@jckdan Well, I haven't tried that. I still use default settings on my editor iMovie '09. Compressed video quality is not on professional level but it's good enough for YouTube.

Hi there Guys I recently bought this camera and i am pretty impressed with the results well thi camera can record movie up to 4 GB or 30 mins which happens first but According to the reviews in HD mode it will record up to 22 mins of movie which is about 4GB

@sk8101698 Individual HD movie clip can be up to 30 min or 4GB.

@sk8101698 Yes and no. You can use 8 GB cards but record still only 29 min 59 sec clips. 8 GB can store two about 30 min long sessions.

I also have problems with the calculations the auto-mode on focus. Like you said...manual is best. I manual best for tripod uses.

@Musicrunner322 It's just taking benefit of the automatíc mode's weakness. Sometimes camera calculates focus wrong and the result is like that. Lucky accident, not purpose. Yes you can focus manually but not so fast. No post-production tricks here.
