I always loved this series, but the joke at the time was - sure Caine was peaceful - at least thru the first half of the show. You could call his mother names and nothing would happen, then he began to "flash back" and pow. We always wondered just exactly what it was in that little "medicine" pouch he carried. :-)
"I do not fear death" straight out of Buddhism ... anyway excellent series, especially considering there was no internet (unless you worked for the military or at a big university and even then it was nothing like what we have today). All considering .. this was one of the best shows ever.
Thanks again for posting these. Great show. Almost hard to believe that in that era a show about non violence, peace and Asian philosophy could have been on TV and so popular. One of the best series ever. I am inspired to buy the whole collection.

Kung Fu, and Billy Jack, omg....they were on hit....entertaining and gave information without so much sex and violence
