@cotton2222 Why so they can possibly give a disease to someone elses pet? Or if your talkin about the country infecting wild animals like deer squirrel and other animals. Lady a street over had to put her 8 yo dog down because of a disease it contracted from a rat. Even if that rat isnt infected it wouldnt be unlikly for it to be infected considering how they live. Pet rats are fine great pets and very smart, wild rats are dangerous to everyone else including you and your pets.

Most of the tips are okay except for the one at 1:01 about "setting live traps." Those are absolutely inhumane. Imagine the suffering the rats must go through if they make the mistake of getting caught in one of those. Why not just place the bait in the cage (without putting a mousetrap in it) and when a rat gets caught, just release it somewhere far away.

yea this would've been helpful like 2 days ago when we had a rat.

but the live traps did a pretty good job. one recomendation though. bake sure you leave tape or cardboard around the trap so you don't have to clean off the blood.
