  • Wow, thank you so much for these videos! This is what I am needed as I am bringing home my 60 year-old (that's right, 60) mother who has a brain bleed and had what can be termed accelerated demensia. The hospital staff if not all that helpful right now but I am wanting to get everything in place BEFORE she gets home. I love you tips!

  • Thanks for the great info. As an occupational therapy student with a love for geriatrics your advice is very helpful. I wanted to add that persons with Alzheimer's disease (especially stage II) wander throughout their home at night and may even walk out the front door instead of into the bathroom. A helpful environmental adaptation to address this could be movement sensitive audio-visual assistive technology.

  • @sweets8456 Hi! Thanks for your kind words and comment. You're absolutely right--there are so many ways they can end up injured--just not much time for me to talk about all of them in that short video! You may want to check out my just published book: "Love, Laughter, & Mayhem - Caregiver Survival Manual For Living With A Person With Dementia" because it has a LOT of caregiver tips. Have a great day today! Cindy
