I watched Raleigh and Hector when they went into the paddock with my old boy for the first time a couple of weeks back. They are a couple of real gentlemen and look absoluety lovely and are in for very pleasant retirement now they have done their bit.
I know i ride, what i by that was that you can ride the most gentle, bravest and calmest horse of any age and it still has it in it to spook or bolt, every horse has it's days. :)
@biscie455 A "bomb proof horse" means a horse that is so well trained it will never explode and start bucking and behaving stupid with a rider on its back.... and as someone else already mentioned, there is no such thing as a bomb proof horse... they are a prey animal and are subject to fears about being eaten.. That said this was a wonderful story... gotta love horses :)

I would love to do this as a job, obviously you need to be able to ride, but what GCSE's or a-levels would I need and how would I apply???
